I wouldn't worry about that arm. That's part of the transformation, and it prolly slipped out somehow. Has anyone run into any Galvs with the shoulders WRONG locally? Seems like that problem was overall fixed.
That's what i'm thinking. Also, you're right. I haven't heard of anyone in MN getting a bad shoulder. Lots in Texas it seems (going by what I see on reddit).
So it was probably a running change and the ones further inland (which were likely later shipments since they were retail) have the fix.
I have my Galvatron pre-ordered at Pulse and supposedly not due for release till September, you think he'll have the fixed shoulders?
So after grabbing Galvatron, here is what I think. His purple and battle damage totally doesn't match, but he is still amazing in the group. There are some scenes where he is this purple, but he is usually scourge in color. Either way I hope this helps people on the fence. I think he's sexy. I think Hasbro or Takara are going to release a less purple version with no battle damage.. but that is me.
One Galvatron left at Chanhassen Target, with correctly assembled shoulders. Also 2 Ultra Magnus, 2 Cyclonus, 2 Optimus Primal, 2 Ractonite, 1 Rattrap, 1 core Optimus Prime.
Anyone have any masterpiece figures for sale? My son wants to start collecting a few. We would be looking for the main characters. 3rd party is alright. MP-10 would be the biggest want. Want to stay away from the V1 seekers.
I think Galvatron may have reached the North Metro, but I was too late to get him at Coon Rapids Target. I assume this because there was an Ultra Magnus on the shelf that wasn't there yesterday, and I think UM is in the same case as Galvatron, isn't he?
Out of curiosity, I’m wondering why people feel the lower shoulders is incorrect? When I look at the stock Galavatron photos from Hasbro, the shoulders are the lower configuration (you can tell because of the upper shoulder joint detailing). I am including a pic from HasbroPulse for reference. With that being said, I did see Galvatron at Target AV off Cedar and it was the lower arm configuration.
I was messing with mine yesterday thinking that same thing, and for me, the higher shoulder just lines up better. Lower makes him look kinda slumped.
They must have realized that they screwed up the shoulder assembly after taking the stock photos. Looking at my Galvatron, which has the correct higher position shoulders, when you have the arms down by his sides, the details on the shoulder lines up. So that tells me the high position is the intended position.
He's gone now, lotta Magnus though. And *this* guy I haven't seen in stores despite being two years oldish.
