I’m fairly certain that thin piece is made from nylon-ish plastic. I haven’t been concerned about breaking that piece on my copy at all since it’s not brittle and haven’t felt particularly at risk of breaking to me.

But it isn't going to break. That's nylon, not ABS. They specifically chose that material because it is strong and flexible.

got my replacement shoulder parts, but came as a complete left arm. so with that, i now have the option to pose shocky like this. will need to get a larger baggy soon for all the extra QC parts MS sends that i have to keep asking for.

Pretty soon you'll have enough to build a whole figure out of them.

Is that a new Spockwave variant or is it just the lighting?

I know that Purple doesn't represent well in photography, but that Mixmaster Barrel is totally Gravity Builder's purple.

It's too bad. If they'd just gotten their tolerances right it would likely have been received better.

As it is, I'm overall happy with mine. Transformed him back and forth plenty of times, and nothing is breaking or stressing. Mine is the one with the stress mark on his elbow near the pin, but after moving it back and forth and really testing it out, it hasn't gotten any worse, and I don't think it will. Only thing I'd change is the head; I'd want it to be flatter like newage. But I love the overall bulk on him vs. the short/skinny take on the newage figure (also a very good figure, but just comes up...short...for me).

it ain't superior, but it's roughly on par with the other clones with their varying pros and cons to each. :p

    PXL_20210719_195638799.jpg

not sure if anyone has noticed before, but i hadn't seen it mentioned by anyone. but i was shocked to discover that MS shockwave follows many of the transformation traits of the official MP version. particularly the thin connection piece of the blaster barrel tying it to the main body, and the way the barrel splits apart on the sides and folds to fit into the separate backpack cover that doubles as a stand.

In your photos he’s still the best looking, but I think I may wait and see if they will do a darker purple version. We’ve only seen the one version right, no repaints?

Well for a reward of finally getting that new job, I decided to pick this little bad boy up and not wait for my Astrotrain to come and for MS to release thos damn contructicons.
No QC problems for me on this or anything missing/wrong.
Because this was only about $9 more compared to China incl the shipping picked this 1 up at the local store.
Man I like it, the backpack could have used a better peg to connect in but with the cover it doesn't come as much loose as it did without.
The hips are something to get used to, slide down with handling it.
In general another knock out for me from MS.

They should give this guy the same paint treatment they gave Soundwave. Would like to see him in dark glossy colours.

Well, I just transformed mine for the first time to find out that it has two left side pieces on the white barrel/backpack.

It’s not a huge deal since it still stays together, but disappointing still. This is the second MS figure that’s had wrong parts recently, the first being Dead End with two right hands.

Not sure if it’s worth the hassle of explaining it to my vendor and getting a replacement part.

Honestly, it kind of pisses me off that this is the second figure in a short span that’s had this type of problem.

These figures are so fun otherwise, but dealing with shit like this on a constant basis and worrying if the next figure will have an issue sucks and dampens my enjoyment.

Make sure you transform your figures after getting them folks, you never know if you’ll get shafted somehow by MS’ nonexistent QC!

you should file the complaint and request the part(s). don't give MS a pass for their shoddy QC. maybe one day they will get the mesg.
