I remember the 1990s. It was when cars came in different shapes . Good times.

Whelp guess it's time to bring my Dad's 93 CRX outta the garage.

    And to go visit Canada.

We bouta see a lot of Fast And Furious style vinyls happen also.

    This should be interesting...

Don’t forget we also didn’t have nanny safety tech, drive by wire and vehicles under 3k pounds gvwr. Can’t even buy a new car like that today. Today we get cookie cutter designs with safety blankets.

I usually say ‘90s cars are ugly, but to be more specific it’s usually later ‘90s and early ‘00s. Early ‘90s is still close enough to the ‘80s that it keeps the more boxy look

I remember seeing a vehicle in the same paint color and trim as mine in the Bumblebee movie. Seats were wrong, but I have aftermarket seats that go against the vin. (Previous owner switched them out.) Kinda feel like driving to Canada now to help the continuity.

People just don't die horribly in car crashes like they used to anymore, eh?
Man, I knew the 80s and 90s were wild, but I didn't think they were "nostalgic for a time when cars were more dangerous" wild.

It wasn't like the 40s, 50s,60-70s... wtf? Please educate. Here is the short version: For example more folks died of car crashes domestically during the time of the Vietnam War, than solders on the battlefield. Our cars shrunk during the 1970s oil crisis, but for the better. Materials were innovated so crash zones would crumble rather than cause concussive and fracturing damage to the occupants. The pre-80s cars are the ones to worry about.

    ...Yeah, it wasn't the 60s-70s. I said 80s and 90s.

You were born in the 1980s. My point was that you, a product of the 1980s, are nostalgic for when cars in the 90s didn't have the safety features they have today. AKA: More dangerous cars. What does any of the information you edited into your last post to try to make it make sense have to do with what I am saying?

I guess comprehension issues on your part. A complete misunderstanding of what makes cars more dangerous. Don't bring age into this, I could pull the same shit on you but I realize ageism is complete BS.

At no point did I ever bring up why I thought cars were more dangerous other than the lack of safety features that you seem to dislike. I didn't bring age into it, I just said what decade you were born in. What the hell are you talking about? :lol  And you edited your last post AGAIN to try to make it make more sense!

Totally agree. There isn’t anything interesting with 90% of cars on the road today.

If I lived there I would be half way tempted to buy some cheap 90s car just to get on set then see if the studio wanted to by it. Lol.

Everyone has their opinions, but many car enthusiasts consider the 90s the golden age of Japanese sports cars. The market reflects it as it was the final age of the true analog lighter sports car which slowly phased out as we went into the 2000s. You can still get this experience in some cars but you have to pay for it. A few examples.

I have a lot of nostalgia for cars from that era.

Cool. I’ve still got my 92 alltrac/gtfour I have been building for 20 years and race. It punches above its weight in autox. I have owned other cars but I’d like to keep this one in my collection.
