Dinobot leader Grimlock's prowess is well known. His fighting ability is second to none. He admires strength above all else, but he doesn't like bullying. It is this belief that drives him to fight against those who rely on their strength to do evil.
He definitely isn't stronger than the likes of Omega Supreme or Metroplex so who are you comparing him to?
I guess it depends on which version. The Sunbow Grimlock whooped Megatron's @$$ (and Optimus) pretty easily, but then post 86 movie he kinda got depowered (as all the Dinobots). He's not going to take down a Titan on his own, but is brave enough (or too dumb) to believe he can.
And in Marvel Grimlock got beat up by both Megatron and Shockwave (along with the rest of the Dinobots). Shockwave toyed with them and then beat them with his bare hand. Megatron shot Swoop and then beat the others, taking out Grimlock with a single punch.
Armada Optimus Prime is the ultimate being. His secret trailer pants pelvic thrust attack is unstoppable.
Strongest? In what ways? Physically, for his size class, maybe... he might be able to beat, say, Galvatron in an arm wrestling match... but Galvatron's weapon is more powerful.
In comparisons against Titans or even Combiners like Devastator prob not. Against individual smaller robots I’d say yes.
Compared to combiners and titans? No. Compared to characters like Optimus and Megatron, probably. Some sources say Grimlock is one of the few characters who is able to defeat both leaders.
Has he won every fight he's ever been in? No? Then probably not. Also I have a hunch that Grim "execute the human children" lock would have no reservations about bullying a dude.
Well, he did whisper to Snarl(?) that he didn't want to execute them, but used the execution as a lure to draw out Blaster. He expected Blaster to come to their rescue so they could capture him. I do expect him to rescue the children afterwards, assuming they weren't a threat to Autobot security.
I mean fair point. I thought the line made for a good example of how brutal he could be, but it's true he didn't plan to actually do it. Some better examples would have been the times he strangled Wheeljack, socked Ratchet, or chased Tracks with his sword because he didn't like him for some reason.
It's way more head canon than anything based in the various lore but I think so. Like a lot are saying, I don't think a titan or a combiner are weaker than he is but they have massive levels of power but against regular bots, yeah. I also think of him more as a loose cannon though so the cost of that strength is he does what he wants and it may not always be right.
Grimlock against combiners has no chance but could leave anyway a lot of pain to Menasor if he dosn't use his sword or Devastator,same for Galvatron s3,is really powerful by crazy and would expose him to receive a lot of attacks from Dinobot leader. Then true I can't see Grimlock bullying the weak ones ,he's barbarian and loves brute force but never insults weak ones for no reason.Maybe about Wheelie he found him annoyng and could reply "Tiny Autobot insulted for first!"
No, not even the most physically strong among other bigger Transformers. But I wonder if he is stronger than Brawn whose whole shtick is small but strong.
