I will wait before order one and actually, considering the many repaints of Prime and Megatron, it is very possible to see a better repaint of Galvatron and hopefully without the shoulders issue.

 

Netflix line is done after wave 3. Even if Netflix Version happened we all know that they will slap more battle damage crap on him.

 

I couldn't see a difference.

 

Found at Target, incorrect shoulders. Now I have to see if I return it or watch a arm pin fix video and attempt

 

Man, when I first saw photos of this guy I figured I could skip on him as I felt like something was off about it. (Not the shoulders just... something. Don't know.) Now I'm rethinking that seeing folks actually having the figure in hand. I need to buy more shelves...  

 

I found one at my local Target yesterday in Sioux Falls SD and it has the correctly assembled shoulders.

 

They never did look freakishly low. I would love for someone to actually measure the distance because to me it looks like 1/8" max and doesn't bother me either way. I cannot believe we are still talking about it. You can tell it's not really an issue because some people can't even tell if it's the fixed version or not in the box.  

 

I knew a store was getting theirs today so I stopped by. He was still in the back and boy they would not let me buy him. I had to explain that while the DPCI is street dated the upc is not and please just go get one and scan it. 30 minutes of back and forth and me saying “I understand but it’s just a toy” they finally did walk over the electronics and shook their heads in disbelief when he rang up fine but still refused to sell him. I was very polite and asked if there’s someone who could please approve it. They took Galvatron to customer service and the lady in charge said “street date or not I don’t care. if it rings up he can buy the damn thing!” And so I have him in my trunk ahah. Correct arm assembly too! What a trip

 

Found 2 in a local PA target today.
Both had the corrected shoulders.
Seems to be luck of the draw so far.
Happy shoulder hunting!

I applaud your polite persistence. I’m willing to ask for help but I sometimes give up too quickly. I can’t recall ever getting a rude reaction from reps but I suspect sometimes they just don’t want to go to the trouble. If they are swamped with work, I’m also understanding. And then sometimes you know you run into a gamer or collector who goes the extra mile to help too.

You just never know what you’ll get!

 

I’m glad y’all are getting yours. My Target apparently doesn’t do product lookups when you call, so I’m stopping by around noon every other day to check. No luck so far.

 

Sadly, I have two of these with the incorrectly assembled shoulders. Of course, I find this out after the fact having them removed from the box already. Reguardless, I have opened a case with Hasbro to see what they can do to resolve this. Hopefully I will be able to return them to Hasbro for correctly assembled ones. I purchased the pair from BBTS.

 

I don’t think we’ll be getting much in the way of customer support for the shoulders until it’s more widely available, and even then I can see the fix being hard to come by.

 

the kid helping me was nice as was the lady who finally said she didn’t care but the manager I had in between was so damn rude. She said she doesn’t allow street date stuff out and I pointed at the marvel legends on the shelf that are street dated for July 1st haha

I also went the extra mile for ER TC and Skywarp. I saw they were in at a store and waited till they opened and once they did I went in and couldn’t find them and I also saw a couple other guys looking and I went up and asked if they could get them and they came over and waited with me. One was a guy very shy and wouldn’t talk but the other guy who I believe is a member here but I’ve never found out thanked me up and down for conjuring the courage to ask for them and we all three got them. On the way out the quiet guy walked by and said “thank you” and walked away

 

My buddy once said to me: “Closed mouths never get fed.” I live by that if it’s something I really want or need to do.

I also trekked to multiple Target stores and talked to several store people to get that TC/SW set. A store manager literally set aside and stored it in his office for me to pick it up. I never met him in person but I was very impressed with the extra mile he went.

I do feel slightly embarrassed when I pick up a TF at customer service but ultimately, it’s not a big deal. If it’s important to you, you gotta knock on every door until one works.

 

I still get a little embarrassed myself sometimes but not often. I was more embarrassed at 13 then I am at 36. Collecting has become a norm so much now I feel less shy with buying toys still and yes, to me they’re toys. I get friends who say “nothing wrong with it man they’re not toys they’re collectible” no they’re toys and I’m fine with that. Telling me that to make me feel better doesn’t make me feel better

 

Surprisingly found two at Target in East Central Iowa yesterday. One came home with me.
Wasn't even there for that, mainly went in to pick up Godzilla vs Kong, which came out on Blu-ray/DVD yesterday, and decided to stroll down the toy isles. Then bam, there they were behind a couple Ultra Magnus'.
No idea on the shoulders, but it's a nice figure.
