Tried isopropyl “very small amount”, and soap and water. It’s doesn’t just have glue or something that was in the mold. It also has cuts in a few areas that look like someone had to pry it out of the die. Contacted TCP but that was almost a year ago. Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same issues

 

oh, i think that is just from the mold being too hot. it really isnt anything spilled on it from what i can see. just that it picked up a smoother finish from the heat instead of the matte finish.

if it were my bot and i wasnt getting anywhere with TCP. i would just get a nail buffing pad and see if i could knock that sheen off of it.

but since that might be a little out of your realm. a good toothpaste with baking soda mixed in like aquafresh could do the trick right off the top. if not try a cutting compound next. but it can be matted out if you take your time.

my first MS Soundwave had some bright shiny areas and gouges from the mold. but i was able to knock those down rather easily with a nail buffer.

 

This was a common issue. Mine has it too and so did several others. I didn't worry about it cuz it didn't seem like it'd be worth the trouble. Don't know if anybody else has gotten it fixed.

 

It may be my lighting but It looks pretty bad next to the other figures. Just wanted to know if others received any replacement parts or if there was a solution.

Its not about repairing plastic being “out of someone’s realm”, it’s about how Many of us spend thousands on full collections of these figures. I’ve been all in. They aren’t gunpla and you shouldn’t have to repair stuff that’s this expensive.

that kind just makes it you right here. i feel for you i really do but that is the luck of the draw sometimes.

this wasnt a wide spread occurence as you might think. im sorry it has taken over a year and you are just getting the run around from your vendor. TCP has restocked this a couple of times since. if they were waiting for a part it would have hit by now.

if there is a next time and something like this happens. just ask for a new figure or do a charge back with your credit card or a refund claim with paypal. they give you 180 days for this exact reason.

now being able to take care of a figure yourself could go either way here. im not saying it is a necessity. but as someone who is all in as well. it sure does help being able to fix a problem when they come up. even when it has been years later if need be. a little maintenance and care to ensure your collection is tip top should not be something anyone should be against.

When I opened my newly arrived Doomsday today...I was mystified by the inclusion of two tiny magnets stuck to the 'Meteor Hammer's* chain.
I thought the ebay seller threw them by mistake, thinking they were the miniature led + battery...

But then some digging through this thread revealed that they go in his feet(?)...Why? Did Megatron ever walk on walls, ceilings?
And I nearly got the magnets too close to my phone!

Anyway... This guy is wonderful! My only complaint, is the tabs that hold him together in P-38 mode are hard to disconnect. the waist/upper torso came off the lower body twice.

The transformation is complex, confusing at times. But in the end, satisfying.

Any chance for a Megaplex version?

EDIT: Has anybody tried gluing the eyes in? I don't want to lose them, so I was thinking about it...

He might mean tabs being hard to connect?

Still got all the 'pre order/first run' items, so I am either lucky again or they are standard now with Megatron.


I still like the Kremzeek Jinbao gave us more but it is nice to have 2 now.

And I guess you're lucky with the pre-order bonus items, did you get the little battery + led cap as well? You can shove it up his barrel   for a cool looking lighting effect.

Got so much more bad ass looks to it compared to the rest.
Taken me too long to figure out how the battery worked, was pushing on it with out the cap to see if it worked

Yeah MS is definitely my brand, but it's great to have competition from other brands, keeps the companies from getting lazy  

 

I like the MS designs the best but sometimes they suck with headsculpts, that's when MFT comes to play LOL.
This Megatron is the Bomb !!!! such a cool vibe from this 1, so much better compared to the rest.
Think I will change it a bit up and keep MS now as my main collection.

 

I'm still really tempted to get the Metallic version of this. It's been in and out of my shopping cart a dozen times.

 

having seen it in person it really is a great mold. if you are on the fence i would jump on it. when i get some extra coin i will pick one up.

 

Woah, like at a store? Or do you have real life friends that collect these things? I have friends that do lightweight toy collecting, but 3P Legends Transformers? I know no one that cool.
