Most of the things I mention I mention more as facts without judgement… in this case, I don’t even use TFS so to me I really don’t care.

 

Honestly I’ve seen each of the 3 notable sets get lots of love. I think for these guys it’s just down to which aesthetic do you prefer as they all have positives. Price being no object I’d have gotten fanstoys but for 150 kfc looks great and is a nice option for me

 

Agreed. I picked up Opticlones a couple months ago. I like em and dont really feel the need to swap if there were to be a ft reissue.

 

As I remember it, Spotter took a LOOOONG time to sell out. But now look at the price the set's fetching. Someone listed his on the B/S/T thread for 800 plus.

 

They are probably the best imhe... I just wish they were a touch shorter... and the feet were designed differently. Love the colors and green chest pieces.

FT fans are crying out for Spotter v2.0!!!

 

I'm not sure if I'd get a straight Spotter reissue with KFC being comparably good, but as you say, I would likely go for a 2.0 if it was more cartoon-like.

 

I really like Make Toys' version (which is what I have) but I wish they included just a *touch* of die cast. They feel like paper, they're so light.

 

I just noticed that the FT-19 Springer reissue in Taobao will cost 790 Yuan/123 USD for the PO...which is good news for a triple changer.

 

This keeps in line with the price for Thomas, so it may be the case that the price for Chomp is really an outlier (probably due to the redesigns) and not a current new pricing scheme. Let's hope so  

On the other hand, the "cheaper" price might be due to it being a reissue :-(

 

The things we will do for die cast .....

 

Someone on FB put a reminder that the price for Apache reissue seems to match the price for Virtus, which seem deliberate. Besides that, a 124 USD PO in China would mean a 250 international retail price, and it’s actually 200. So FT is probably really lowering the intetnational retail price to mess up with XTB .

Same as above. Paid for, but not shipped yet. Granted I only got the payment request over the weekend, so I'll give em a day or two's grace

 

I had an email yesterday saying they had shipped mine. Tracking hasn't updated yet though but that isn't really surprising

 

Mine shipped out last Friday.

Still waiting on shipment of my 2nd Forager from my other Chinese seller though. I think most sellers in China have received him last week or maybe haven't unpacked their stock shipments and added him to their inventory just yet.
