Average FT collector who'll never say anything bad about FansToys, with an infinite hate towards HasTak and MP Arcee, for the record, FT Thomas has paint chipping issues, yet not even 1 Thomas owner or a reviewer will say it, just like Rouge owners "paint chipping? What's that?!" Even if the paint literally falls in your hands

Dx9 and MFT too, their engineering is amazing for such small figures

That XTB Trailer hands down, probably because they worked in a trash base mode that nobody will ever use.

It’s not getting transformed back into a trailer. (Especially since one of the screws holding in one of his legs broke clean off at the knee)

    There is only Menasor now.

May i nominate XTB's Dr. Egg?
Nobody ask for light, sound to be with this figure, but XTB added it to "justify" the $175 asking price...

I must live in a mirror universe to you. I love Voodoo Animus and Salus to to the point they're my preferred MP Ironhide and Ratchet, and find TT to look like hot garbage. As for my votes for overengineered messes, Badcube Wardog and Sunsurge take the cake. FT Rouge almost descends to the level of Badcube madness, but the end result is acceptable. The MMC female Transformers are almost as bad for fiddlyness and how they barely peg together in vehicle modes.

I'll make a blanket statement that a lot of 3P products have a problem where they'll just keep adding little joints and panels on top of a flawed base design until it fits the shape they're looking for from a character model instead of going back to the drawing board and redesigning/reengineering parts to get to a more intuitive transformation. XTB is the absolute worst about that (excepting the Junkions, for whatever reason), but FT's also fairly guilty of it. I think only TE and MMC manage to avoid that, by and large.

FT Sovereign and Quietus are both examples that pop to mind, with Quietus having that extra layer of folding wingtips instead of just reexamining how the wings fold and resizing things. Sovereign does it all around the chest section, with those bizarre little vestigial struts that exist just fill in the sections under the arms, and all the flaps that have to open up on top of the cannon before the center can rotate to make way for the head. Rouge's whole bizarre chest slider situation and how many things collide in the shoulder wheel well is another example. Unlike a lot of people, I thought Apache was pretty sound, though, and enjoy that one, though the leg transformation probably needed some revising.

    Transforming that was utterly terrifying.

Dude. I don’t even know what to fucking say to you anymore. You’re being absolutely ridiculous right now.

First and foremost, I’m not a “FT collector” (Jesus Christ I don’t even know why I am wasting my breath on someone who probably wears a helmet when he eats his cereal) — I **have** FT figures, yes; I also have a shit-ton of official figures.

“Infinite hate” lmaaao. Please man. Go to sleep or something.

Don't you just love these forums sometimes? Always gotta have somebody spinning someone else's comment so they can justify their pissy attitude.

I was surprised no one mentioned Badcube yet now I see people start to remember them.

Yes that orange hexagon piece in its back.  I don't want to transform mine to car mode because of that thing.

I tried to let this go already also. He also somehow insinuated that I was lying when I said I have two copies of the figure (with his sarcastic “but mai 4 copies!”), when my photo clearly showed one in alt mode, and one in bot mode — I really don’t know what else to say.

I also had a infinitely hated HasTak figure in the photo I also angrily paid for; cursing the checkout button as I completed my purchase.

XTB Boost. His feet are a nightmare to transform, and as someone with big hands who can palm a basketball, transforming this guy was like performing minor surgery. Even worse, while transforming, the legs/feet disintegrated in my hands. Had to email XTB to have a replacement sent out, but once I received it, I never made the effort to mess with it again. Just don't have the heart. He's laying on the shelf just like his dead counterpart from the 84 movie.

It really had nothing to do with the base mode, there's minimal engineering and parts which make that. It's all to do with the size changing. DX9 trailer was over a third longer, it's almost as tall as the skeleton itself. XTB wanted an mp10 sized trailer that still turns into a 20" bot. There's a lot of expanding going on.

XtB Trailer. Too much fluff by adding the base mode; just makes it an unfun mess.
