Mattel should bring Starcom back as a space theme for Mega Construx.
Do a retcon and give it a MotU connection by saying Queen Marlena and other MotU charcter from Earth were working with Starcom instead of NASA.

I've been saying this for years. The mars mission mega construx set gave us a glimpse of what it would look like.

The Starcom aftermarket can be good and bad. There's a seller from the UK, has a lot of parts, including the visors. $28 shipping, ok, what about a dozen visors, just under $100 for shipping. Something wrong with that ebay shopping cart

20210406_193712.jpg Got my M6 Railgunner today. Didn't notice in the listing, but it's missing a small part on the turret. Will pick up a broken M6 for donor parts one day

I still gotta get one of those.
I notice the prices on these things have gone up significantly lately. They used to be dirt cheap a year or two ago.

I used to love the R.A.T. The one thing that I really liked about this line (aside from most everything) was that the figures sold individually were assigned to a specific vehicle (so there were designated gunners/crew for the extra seats. So much attention to detail.

Just chiming in to say I also loved the line when I was younger. Loved the magnets and the compacting/unfolding motorized element. Loved the scale. So much about this was 10x kind of awesome. Personally, I'd like to see Beaver (the B2.5 line) do a take. Even if the magnets were removed (noooo!), as long as they had the 'turns into a cube for transport' thing going on with Beaver's trademark modular thing going on, I'd be all in.

Thanks for starting this thread! :)

I loved Starcom, but these were so hard to get. For example I wanted the jet with twin cockpits and we never ever saw it in stores. I had the little black triangle fighter from the bad guys and it was one of my favorite toys.

To really see the appeal, it's not clips of the cartoon, but of the toy commercials from that time. Don't remember seeing the cartoon as a kid, but I did remember commercials where the most intriguing things to me were the magnetic components/interactions they had.

I did watch a few episodes, within the last 2 or 3 years, but they came off dry. Enjoy the toys!!!

It's interesting to me that I have virtually no recollection of those commercials. I watched a FUCKTON of TV as a kid...especially during that time period...and I can't say I remember any of those commercials. The gimmicks are pretty neat!

Did those vehicles in the product demo ever see release? I have no recollection of them. I had and loved those modular base pieces though.

Nice! They are local for me. Still wanna check out the place. I know they don't have a physical store, but would love to check out the supply they have in hand.

Upon enrolling in Starwing, a cadet could hope to be a pilot of one of the fighters, a gunner on the bigger bombers, or pilot the flying forklift; the Battlecrane! 20210613_212723.jpg
