That’s the version that I’ve now placed on my Kingdom(-ish) shelf. Not embarrassed by it. I think it looks better than the Kingdom version.

But I get why others are comparing to the fancy scheme if we’re talking about the best possible Waspinator to own.

 

T30 Waspinator does have the second set of wings sculpted! It's slight, but they're all there.

 

T30 looks ok to me with the other, it will do unless he gets broken or if i decide to sell him, depending the upgrade on the kingdom

He's never been able to have them before because his shoulders were always unpaintable nylon!

 

Looks good but the insect legs look unfortunately bare and cheap without any deco. Looks like he has chocolate sticks hanging off his Bot mode.

I keep forgetting how back in yonder days, they had Waspinator's robot legs serve as the rear legs in bug mode. I take it people were more forgiving of tricks like that when Beast Wars was still new?

This reminds me that Waspinator's yellow-circle shoulders are so important to his color profile that the Beast Wars Tenth Anniversary redeco of the original toy just flat-out makes his entire upper shoulders yellow, even though that also means his usually-green pelvis is also yellow. So glad we have a toy finally that gets those Iconic Shoulders properly recreated.

 

This motivated me to grab Waspy and an X-Acto. You can add maybe 25% to the depth of the bend by cutting away a little plastic from behind the knee.
