I happened to notice everyone with the shoulders miss assembled in this thread and the watching emgo’s review he pointed out how you can rotate the shoulder but it puts the pin to the front. I didn’t even know that was an issue until watching. The one I just grabbed today from Target was assembled correct out the box. Took some pics to show. No removing pins for me.

Super happy with this Galvatron figure. Everything I wanted on a childhood favorite made into an awesome toy! Super delighted to find him today in the wild too!

Terrific news, and highly unusual for them to do a running change fixing an assembly issue. Might even be a first.

The TT will definitely be assembled correctly as well then. Sweet!

This makes me very encouraged that the toy accurate repaint version will have the correct shoulders. Fingers crossed!

    How great is this figure?

Even the miss assembled version I ended up with …does not detract from how amazing this figure is…. ….

I did the shoulder fix and…damn, it’s terrifying. You REALLY need to stress the shoulders to get them off the hinge. Popping the outside shoulder half also sucks

I HIGHLY recommend going to your local auto part store and getting a set of plastic panel poppers - using even flatheads will leave indentations at the entry point. The plastic poppers are designs to more gently slide into a gap for your to twist and apply leverage.

The fix works, everything looks fine, there’s no stress marks but the process just required courage and effort. There is a risk of damage as you get it apart
The only other advice I can give is to make sure the bicep is rotate so the seam lines up with the seem you’re using to separate the shoulders. You need that extra give to get the shoulder half (non-pin, which has the rod that goes thru the eye hinge) out

Also tried the battle damage removal - happy to report a $2 bottle of o1% alcohol from the pharmacy section, applied to a paper towel is absolutely effective. Only about 15 min of work - the lavender paint comes right off and the plastic remains unblemished

TBF, the plastic is very sturdy; thankfully is a thick enough section of plastic I don’t think anything will snap…it just FEELS like it will

Is the main concern with wanting the fixed version just a desire to avoid the silver pins from being visible or is it a deeper problem with the mold. For example, is transformation or articulation negatively impacted or is it just aesthetics?
