Saw a couple Buzzsaw Hordaks today, which I skipped since it isn't outwardly different enough from the standard. But I did pick up these two. I dig both of them, though I think Skeletor came out better overall. I like his armor design more and that angry headsculpts is probably the best one out of both figures. I am a bit irritated that he can't seem to use the shield he came with though, as I like it quite a bit. I did end up shuffling some heads around and I'm pretty happy with the results.
That Alcala head looks great on BA Skeletor, I really hope they pack it in with a non-exclusive figure later on.
I got my 2 Fakers, Fisto, and 200X Evil Lyn from BBTS. Both of my Fakers have a super floppy right ankle. This is the first Origins figure I've ever got with an ankle this loose and it was BOTH of my Fakers. I haven't seen ankles this loose since MOTUC. After missing out on Leo Faker, getting standard Faker with a floppy ankle was like rubbing salt in the wound. As anyone who can see my username and avatar could probably deduce, I'm a HUGE Faker fan. I'm pretty ticked right now. I'll probably end up putting Fisto boots on Faker. The shade of purple won't match his fury shorts but at least he'll be able to stand.
That's too bad. I hope My Faker is alright... Let's try and forget our troubles with this, hopefully, funny use of Hot Wheels...
Casual MOTU fan question here.... Have there been any other Origins waves or figures announced past the wave 6 Sinkor/Webstor wave? Just curious as I hope this line continues and runs through the whole toy cast 82'-87'. Hopefully we get some good news in July around con' season.
Nothing officially announced. The only figures past wave 6 that we know for sure are coming are Mini Comic Tri-Klops, Palace Guard, and the Powercon figures. Given that the Powercon set has alternate colored Grizzlor and Horde Trooper variants, it's a pretty safe bet that the standard vintage toy color versions of those figures will get a release. Honestly, I don't expect to see the entire lineup. I expect to see most of the figures with shared parts like Spikor, King Randor, Mekaneck, etc. I think Whiplash, Buzz Off, and Clawful are strong contenders because they share so many parts. But I don't have high hopes for figures that require entirely unique sculpts like Rio Blast, Gwildor, etc. But hey, I'd love to be proven wrong.
Nothing official, but the Mattel people said to keep an eye on the packaging art for clues as to who might be coming out. So that would mean a good chance for a wave to have Grizzlor, we know his tooling is done, then the rest on the Horde members most of whom are on Hordak's card. King Randor and Jitus, once one is done the other is just a head away. So just going by art work there is at least two waves. Randor Jitsu Grizzlor Leach Horde Trooper* Flying Fists He-Man Mantena Modulock* Mini comic Tri Klops And with that list we could assume Terror Claws Skeletor then with juts two more figures that makes for three waves unless some of them are Deluxe figures*.
That is annoying, I am going give this to you again. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002LIBULM/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_ZF00VVC4XV0PV2QSMW2S Loose joint are frustrating. This doesn’t damage figures and you can solve yours frustration across a wide range of loose joints.
After multiple failed pick-up order attempts and store hunts, I decided to go the eBay route to get the Rise of Evil set. Managed to snag this bundle for retail plus shipping, so I feel pretty good about the purchase.
I bought my first MOTU origins figure today! I finally saw He-Man on the pegs and had to get one. My TF buying has fallen right off so seeing another beloved childhood favorite in the retro style packaging is such a good feeling.
I want to know where this magical place is that doesn't have a few dozen He-Man figures warming the pegs. In my area, I could probably get 3 or 4 dozen if I drove to every store in a 30 mile radius.
