Just an ordinary Lightning collection Pink with a clear plastic weapon.

 

I will never miss Bandai. WHile Bandai might have done a better presentation at times, they figures were still far from show accurate and they didn't do MotW for older series. Not to mention their articulation was outdated and their plastic quality diminished.

What's shaded on that pink ranger?

I'm starting to think like what that Survey said. Maybe they are redoing the next Monster wave because they want to make the figures smaller.

 

Maybe it's Go Go? For the Go Go Power Rangers comic series?

Unfortunately... No different than making fans buy MMPR Yellow again to get Scorpina.

 

I saw some close up pics on Twitter and the Zeo pink body is darker compared to the arms.

If that comic color pink goes on clearance for a good price, I might pick up a few just for the ranger sticks and swords.

 

It looks odd….like it would only make sense if it was panel specific to a BOOM! comic issue. As is the lighting to make the kinds of shades and highlights is all over the place. To better replicate the look I think the figure should’ve been molded in a dark purple with pink paint as the base color on central areas and white highlights(meanwhile the white parts could be molded in light blue with a white base coat on central areas). This would make the look more cohesive from the front, neutral and when posed for the most part. The cel shading deco they have right now would only make sense for a statue.

It also kinda feels like they weren’t thinking about the light source when deciding the layout. It’s not consistent at all.

 

Well, that was a pointless fan first. First one where I'll be ordering zero figures from it. I've already got a perfectly fine MMPR Pink Ranger and have no need for Zeo (I hated Kat as a character anyway).

 

I knew this was going to start happening with mainline toys from major companies sooner or later. Thankfully for me, they did a horrible job and it’s a property I don’t care about but it just means they will get the process down and eventually we’ll see this on everything and then my wallet is fucked...again.

 

Not just that, but I already have a MMPR pink ranger with mutiple shades of pink on it. Same with SPD pink.

 

Oh at first (before I went back and watched the stream) I thought it was just a reissue since Pink Ranger Kim seemed so hard to get. But a repaint in another deco without a head sculpt that they'll repaint all the rangers in (and it's weird because usually cell shaded like that is related to cartoons, but there's no cartoon so they call this the "comic version"). I guess at least it's skippable for most, which is what a decent exclusive should be.

I cannot see how these aren't going to shelfwarm because that's a lot of pink rangers for one retailer, though.

 

Did they say when preorders are going up?

 

I must have missed the part where they said this cell shaded redo without a portrait head was going to be 26.99.

 

At least the head portraits for the Kat 2 pack are different from the Metalic Armor version. Although the MMPR head looks very off.

Wish they had taken the opportunity to do more than just MM with this though. Could have revealed Dino Charge, In Space, or Lost Galaxy Pink.

 

They even played the clip of Kendrix sacrificing herself! Every other clip was followed up with a relevant release... Except that one.

 

Hopefully that will turn out to be a hint for a future release. An In Space and Lost Galaxy Pink two pack would be very appropriate.
