Anyone recall which small UK collectable retailer it was that had a few Rescue Bots Minibots left ? a few months ago - I've forgotten ?

Unfortunately Magnus is back up to £45 and Very is only £5.00 which is hardly worth the bother. Though I guess he's not that widely distributed so it might be useful for some. But I think I can wait - for the sake of a different cab front.

At the time I posted it it was £40 on Very, just looked and yeah all the prices have been bumped slightly.

Thanks for reminding me - as someone mentioned in passing ebay has another 20% off sale so Hasbro's ebay outlet has things like SS Grimlock, & Kingdom Ultra Magnus for about £10 off at the moment.

It's a shame they don't get more of the Studio Series items listed on there as I'd not have said no to a cheap Cybertronian mode Bumblebee either.
I wonder if I should buy another couple of Ractonites so I can use them like Lego & make undead horrors out of them ?.

I'd be wary of ordering DNA from Kapow. I had to cancel my order of the Jet Prime Upgrade Kit as they still hadn't received stock after a year...

Is anyone still finding TF stuff cropping up in their TKMaxx? After one find in mine several weeks ago I've not seen anything else. Trying to guage if the stock has dried up now as it's an irritating hike all the way to my branch (to not find anything).

HobbyLinkJapan have a number of wfc and studio series on sale. Of course, shipping and the customs gamble might cancel out any savings.

*Edit: Also have a few others like masterpiece as well

Every order I've placed with HLJ over nearly 20 years has been hit by customs charges so it's not even a gamble :(

I'd expect a large website to be correctly managing this post 1st January, so they should apply VAT at point of sale. If they do, that's all you'll pay. Expect a 20% hike once added to basket and your address is added, of course.

At least that way there's no Royal Mail admin fee!

    They don't

Amazon do, which gives them a big advantage.

Having said that anecdotal evidence has it that orders from outside the EU are getting hit much less often recently.

I'll lyk how last Friday's £210 at RK goes!

Ah, over 135 quid should be handled the old way anyway. The vat changes are only for values under 135 quid. I'm surprised a larger site hasn't put it in place, because the next step will be either catching all on their packages and nailing every customer, or returning them all to sender for not being allowed to trade in the UK via online sales for vat purposes. It'll take a while to get to that point, but the EU adopts the same approach in 2 weeks, and do does the US. It's the future...

I suspect RK will mark down for that over 135 aspect, assuming they did that in previous years?

For me, no, single deluxe figures have been customed in recent years since the limit came down to £15 and the £ tanked against the ¥

Charge is 20% of the value of the package + the postage

On top of that there's an £8 clearance fee

Bar Amazon, who custom charge up front, I've imported v little in recent years.

No this was everything including small parcels; one was just a G1 reissue Starscream. Payres posted the exact charges so I won't repeat them.
