Yeah. Not really digging that design compromise. I can’t imagine that part of it will be changed for the retool either.

I’m probably just getting old, but the more fiddly and complicated these figures get - especially the little ones - the less inclined I am to enjoy them. Ah well.

 

iron factory alts have never been their strong suite. and Lio alt is probably one of the most dissappointing for me, as i really wanted a fantastic alt for this. this figure, as with most IF, is all about the bot.

if that's the case for you, you'll prob want to steer clear of Bludgeon. LoL, though i think that bot is even better than Lio, assuming you don't get one with bad QC. mine's been great *knock on wood* aside from some really tight joints that needed to be lubed immediately before transforming.

And shouldn't this be called Kagami Shishimaru and not Yoroi Shishimaru.

 

Seeing this guy in person makes me wish that they would do big convoy that can turn into mammoth and a tank.

 

Yeah, they updated the kanji on the box but not the English name, a bit disappointing.

 

Got Kagami in today, glad that I decided to get one. The colors were the selling point for me: they definitely deliver in hand. Dark blue, purple, gunmetal & silver, with highlights of a unique neon green; all with a metallic finish. IF’s best figure imo, has now been made even better with a shiny new color scheme. Kagami provides a nice contrast to the mainly white based original release. The talented @TIKnTIN added some fine detail work to my Yoroi to break up the monotony, so why not show some of that work off in comparison to the new guy...

 

i gave in and ordered SG Lio as well.   initially was going to pass on this version and hold out for just getting the black Nemesis remold. but like you, i couldn't resist the rich colours on this redeco.  

can't wait to get my copy in hand. though not as needed vs the original release, most likely will give similarly targeted accents as SG Lio. at the very least it needs a splash of colour on the nose of lion and perhaps the teeth as well, and of course the sword hilt.

i'm biased as i already got both and also will be getting nemesis when out, but don't have plans on getting galvatron.  

 

I got the original last week and I love the figure. Don’t know why I held out for so long.

 

I love the bot mode on this but he's been in beast mode for months on my shelf now. It just stands out so much that way!
