Neat. Hasbro will most likely reissue all the SS86 Dinobots on G1 toy redeco at some point I bet.

    This Wheelie has no wheels.

Probably was more cost effective to produce as one kit instead of several.

Arguably it might come out cheaper in the long run for those that want everything here, although not so much for those that want maybe just the sword or some wrist covers.

Can someone point me in the direction of the most affordable and best color-matched teeth for Grimlock? The missing fronts weren't an issue to me until I had it pointed out. Now I can't unsee it.

Sure, but the Takara TR one has the right curves on the alt mode. This 3rd party one is way blockier and less smooth than the TR one. Also did ya’ll notice that huge gap above the front wheels on the 3rd party one? Yikes.

Yea, but both the LG and TR versions are further from the mark when it comes to bot mode, so none of the options are perfect.

Totally in for this. That Wheelie, despite the odd choice on the wheels, is pretty cool. Gap fillers are a bonus.

It's missing the bottom row of dino teeth? Granted, it does say that Final product may vary...

The bottom teeth are there, 2 to sync with the 3 up top. Coloring just obscures it in the prototype photos.

Oh, I can kind of see it now. I only looked at this pic.

I was excited until I saw the price. Spend $50 to turn my pretty damn cool $50 Grimlock into a slightly cooler $100 Grimlock? No thanks. I'm kinda wishing Hasbro had just skipped Wheelie so that DNA wouldn't have driven the price of their kit up with, let's be honest, a pretty mediocre attempt at the character. Oh the bot mode looks mostly fine (though the giant wheels sticking out of his shoulders don't fit the character design) but the alt mode isn't sleek like Wheelie should be or even cohesive at all. That plus making Grimlock's clear neck a different color from his clear chest - I appreciate the neck color but be need a chest to go with it, damnit.

Other than that, I love the clear neck and the dino arms. The feet fillers are nice and I adore the forearm fillers. But none of that is enough to justify $50. Not for me anyway.

I am all over this, already pre ordered, but it seems like the plastic from the extra Wheelie heads would have been better spent filling gaps or smoothing out the alt mode. You are not going to be able to tell which head you have on from more than a foot away.

And what is with the foot filler trend? How many of you guys are posing figures with their feet that high up in the air? Grimlock stomping makes sense, but they are available for so many figures now.

Also, where are these companies at on face replacements for figures like Blurr and Kup? Seems obvious. Unfortunately for me, if they come to pass they will probably be IDW style full heads.

The only thing this kit needs to be 'complete' is the clear chest window.

Also, a replacement inner neck piece with a gold deco would look much better. Clear yellow over the gray looks ugly in person.

These are some examples from the customs I've done (NFS):

My own custom exterior neck pieces with the original gray neck piece inside.

As noted earlier, the feet filler also fixes the gap on the dino back.

It's just holds in place with friction but it holds perfectly well. I've had no issues with it at all

The more I look at this thing, the more I like it. It looks significantly more show accurate than the other options currently available for Wheelie at that size point. Even if someone else came along and did a much better version, how much would I really care? I'm definitely looking forward to what they do with the exosuit. Slag has fewer obvious things that require fixing in my opinion but he also needs a sword

Even though Wheelie can't roll around, I'm still super excited to get him! I feel much better paying for this kit than paying$100 for an aftermarket legends toy. The colors and proportions also match his model better than TR or TK Legends. His alt mode doesn't quite match, but I don't really care. I mainly connected to him through the movie. And he only transformed once or twice in that thing.

Oh, and I guess the Grimlock bits are good too. The pistons on the arm fillers are a nice touch.

I know the Wheelie figure isn’t for everyone but there are other cheaper options if you just want some upgrades for Grimlock. I appreciate it because I don’t want to go hunting down a Titans Return/Legends Wheelie.
