Good call on both counts. I just assumed the gold knee spikes were doubles, but the entire knee ring is missing from the leg and connected in back in the second pic. And I couldn't make out the blue wing things due to the blurriness of the pic, but it does look like the swords.
It seems like it’s not just a ring, it’s a whole segment of the shin that’s been removed. I wonder if there’s a new style of connection or if it is using standard 3mm pegs.
Yeah, I didn't really mean "ring", as in hollow disc. I assume it's like the connector disks in the Bug/Raptor heads.
Is DA-40 considered to be D Caliber? (ie. cause it is the same colour scheme, even though it was released a long time ealier than the others)
Yeah, think this new Waruder might be worth getting - now to wait for somewhere to have it up for pre-order!!
That looks amazing! I honestly think the Waruder toys may be even better than the Diaclone ones and this looks like no exception. Personally I'd much rather see 3.0 designs like this than 1.5 and this really does look like the Waruder have started being influenced by the Diaclone robots, after being beaten by them a few times. Diaclone might not have much written lore but you can see it right in the toys themselves and I think that's great.
yay Waruder Suits 2.0, finally and the head looks better now, not so humanoid anymore sold. Some of the configuration reminds me of DOTM Decepticons flyer, the ones that able to rest on the side of building
As far as I understand it's a fan invented term where 2.0 is the reboot line, 1.5 is the retro-looking new DA-77 (I'm not aware that any other sets have been accused of being 1.5, so it's more of a theoretical concept). 3.0 is entirely theoretical, except perhaps until now, and suggests a style that is noticeably different and less beholden to the original Diaclone design, than the rest of the line. Or at least that's what I think it means. The terms are thrown around an awful lot considering there are few clear examples of either 1.5 or 3.0.
yup fan term, with (too) broad usage. in terms of Diaclone & Diaclone Reboot, OG Diaclone is 1.0, Reboot is 2.0. This distinction is due to some say 2.0 style diverge too much from OG Diaclone. but 2.0 term haven't been used in a while. Now it's just Reboot. But with the Gridman crossover, the Powered-Suit style are more to OG style but with modern articulation / playability. So it's 1.5, with some hoping of more releases with the same aesthetics With Reboot TriVerse, some called it 3.0, since it has a different feelings compared to previous releases (pre DA-40). This is what I understand anyway Personally I don't care, will buy whatever catches my eyes, OG or Reboot.
And now I'm even more sold on this new Waruder guy, who's even taller than Battle Convoy! Heck yeah, I'm so gonna grab this beaut!!
Unless that's just the lighting on the photo shoot that looks like a recolouring of DA-24 to me. The colour seems significantly lighter, almost pure white, when compared to the original version. I'd actually be very keen to see more minor variations of the mould, as I hate getting multiples that are exactly the same.
maybe they might re-release the lil Waruder dudes before or around the same time this big Waruder thing is out? That would be nice.. I just hope that da-78 isnt one of those TTM exclusives.. *shudders*
I doubt it would be, it's an all new mould and the start of a new subline, it would be daft to make it a TTM exclusive.
That would be nice, if they were to release some new things for them... coz it's getting really hard to find those older ones! From back in 2018 :O
