As for toy collecting habits, I also make the toy section my first destination in any store I go to. I've also gotten into the habit of cleaning up the Transformers section (placing items on their proper pegs, etc), out of a sense of cleanliness but also a superstition that doing so will make new stock appear.

I use Pocketcast on Android to listen to all podcasts. For some reason, I am not able to get any newer podcasts to show up on here past episode 592, August 31, 2020. Is anyone else having this issue? All my other podcasts seem to be working fine.

I did try this same podcast on the Google Podcast app just as a test and it worked on there. What could be stopping this podcast program from not working with only this podcast? I would have to have to use a 2nd app just for this one.

As a side note, I did try to remove the podcast and re-add it. But then I was unable to find it. I had to use another device to just get the link for the podcast to get it to come back.

Hey, you guys did my question! Awesome. I really enjoyed the discussion on habits and superstitions. Vangelus skipped my sign off though, I guess I'll have to write in another question.

As for a win, the only things that come to mind are recent finds. I managed to find all of Kingdom wave 1 back in January. I haven't seen most of it a second time. I also managed to find Netflix BB and Soundwave on shelves. Yeah, suck it scalpers!

I've passed these both along to behind-the-scenes - I don't actually have any hands-on with how the podcast backend works beyond filling in some fields. :(  Not sure what happened or how it can get fixed

OK, reviewed threads above and your new links. I've sent a customer support message to Pocketcast and Castbox.fm. Like you, I also really don't know the ins and outs of Podcasting specs and what various different services require. From a technical standpoint, our feed looks correct in so far as it being a data feed with the podcast info included. Hopefully if something is off, one of them will tell me.

If you are made aware of other specific services that don't work, please let me know and I'll email them too.

So absolutely dumb question about adding RSS feeds but is the RSS link you past in the podcast app - http://wtf.tfw2005.com/feed/podcast -
Or do i have to grab the entire text in that page and past that?

Thanks to a local collector's facebook group, I got an MPM Ratchet for $35. That was a massive win.

Regarding the listener question about picking up toys from between the Unicron Triology and the later movies. Absolutely!

In 2005-2012 you got "what if we took a G1 design and updated/tweaked/reimagined it" rather than constant iterations of toon-accurate G1 or G1 with joints that I feel the brand has fallen into since 2014. The designs were more interesting to me. If you want G1 accuracy above all else stick to the more modern Generations, but if you like modern takes or tweaks to old characters try some figures from 2005-2012. Find what makes you happy :)

My biggest win must be Cybertron Primus with missing only his buttflap for 1,5€(yes!) less than a year ago.

Omega was talking about mugenbine in this (or one of the last couple) episodes.

If you guys were feeling nostalgic at all about that kind of play pattern, you should check out the new Waruder figure that was announced yesterday: ワルダレギオン第1弾!「ダイアクロン DA-78 ワルダレギオン〈リッパー〉」襲来!!
    DA-78 ワルダレギオン<リッパー>|ダイアクロン オフィシャルサイト|タカラトミー

The amount of variability in builds is incredibly high and only gets higher when you add some of the other Waruder sets to the mix. Might be something worth looking into if you want something new that probably has some of the best build qualities available.

To those that use Castbox.fm - I believe that is fixed now:

WTF @ TFW – The TFW2005 Transformers Podcast | Listen Free on Castbox.

There were two versions of the channel in their system, I think that's resolved.

Working on others. Spotify / Google proper etc - have to do some research. Pocketcasts - in progress. If you have others with issues, post here.

If those are all you’ve experienced, wait til you try some of the bigger ones. There’s a night and day difference in quality and build for the Warudaros Gigantor and Soldier in comparison to the flingers/worm pods

I love the soldiers. I love Warudaros. But I still love the DA 23, 24, & 26 just as much.

Kinda jumping in on the Hasbro being kinda iffy about showing early prototypes, from my still pretty few years in the field it’s worth just the general reminder that a lot of toy designers are not toy people. Certain teams totally accumulate those super nerds/toy designers but a lot of the time it’s just a designer who may not be deep into the brand they’re working on and has no concept of what fans would like to see. It can be hard to get that kind of voice up to the marketers or executives where it matters.

Theres also the huge factor of cost reduction. Black Zarak was pretty safe for them to show off because he’s a retool and they probably have a real keen idea of how much everything is going to cost at that point. But a lot of toys go into several rounds of prototyping without a firm predicted cost. There might be some early costs but they can change so much that features that seemed affordable have to get cut and I’m sure that’s something Hasbro doesn’t want to show us too often.

Kinda bumping off this, I always wonder if someone somewhere got gripped firmly by the shoulders after that redux Armada Optimus prototype(?) was on display at that one show

They’ve mentioned not knowing where it’d live in the line and that is… all too real. It looked decently along the way and if they were set on that direction it may have been too expensive to be a leader, too cheap to be a MP, and too not what Hasbro wants to be a Commander Class. Takara gets away with a lot of one off price points but it can be hard to convince retailers to take yet another unique segment.

I’m more curious as to why it was made and what their initial plan was for it.
