I'll take that action, looks nice a simple - Etsy we go.

I really like the look of this one too but seems a big more involved and I lack the 3d printing facilities. Looks like a replacement pair of eyeballs for mounting individual LEDs.

Posted over at another thread, but thought I'd repost in the main HasLab Unicron thread.

Found a 3D file on Thingverse by Cryoguns for a shorter stand leg. While disassembly of the back leg of the stand allows for more room, the front was still sticking out from the only place I could place Unicron.

Enter this! Printed in black ABS with 40% infill from Treatstock.com, chose a local printer, and picked it up in person to save on shipping. I was so impressed with the quality of the print that I ordered two more legs for Unicron in planet mode.

Haslab Transformers: War for Cybertron Unicron Short Stand Feet by Cryoguns

I ordered a printing of just the front/back leg stands, as the original side ones seem fine. The description on Thingverse warns not to use it for Unicron in planet mode, but I find that it appears just as stable (gave it a smack and it didn't even budge). Obviously, I'm not putting Unicron planet mode in the tallest place (it's on the floor). And Unicron in robot mode is stable even without the stand, but removing the back leg on the stand and installing a shorter front one really helps if you don't have much depth on your shelf.

Wow, crazy that they won't mail the pieces people need to replace, but will give someone a full free figure.

I imagine they expect the defective unit returned at their cost. Did they include a return postage/shipping label? In any case, glad you got a replacement.

Realizing it's a much smaller figure, when I had an issue with Hubcap, I requested that they send me the missing backpack and they insisted on a full figure swap, them covering both sides of shipping. After some back and forth of me trying to explain why sending me just the pack piece would be cheaper on everyone involved, they sent me a full figure and never provided a return shipping label.

Again, it's not a Unicron but it's also not like they can do much with it but use it for replacement pieces if he were to send it back at their [no doubt high] expense. And since they seem intent to replace a whole figure rather than provide pieces, the situation seems a wash in the longest outlook. They probably just write off the expenses of replacements somewhere as company lost income and have a tax write off for it.

He sold the defective unit a while back. He was trying to get parts for the buyer. Instead he ended up with a free Unicron.......

Would it? Do they have replacement pieces just laying around? Or is it easier to just grab a new figure off the pile and send it along?

Okay, because I guess we need a discussion. In order to provide me with the piece, they will have to remove it from a figure, yes. However, they would just have to remove it from a figure and send it to me. That's one action to get the end results of getting me complete figure.

    Their thinking, however, was:

    1) I print out a return address label. An inconvenience already as I don't own a computer much less a printer.
    2) The return shipping is on their dollar.
    3) I repackage the figure I already possess and send it back to them requiring a trip to a post office that's working hours are within my own company's hours of operation. I work from five to five six of seven days.
    4) Or, more likely, I have to find a FedEx drop off in my area. Either way, they pay for that shipping, I cover the time and fuel.
    5) They then send out a new figure that, presumably, is complete and I wait for it to arrive. This requires they also pay for that shipping. And, as unlikely as it may seem, there is a chance that this second figure may also be missing the pack piece. Certainly. as my second figure was still sealed, they never confirmed its condition.

    6) So, now they are out shipping three times as the original order had free shipping and still run the [albeit small] risk of repeating this dance all over if the second unit is also defective.

    7) In the meanwhile, when they get my figure back, they now possess an incomplete figure they can do nothing with unless they intend to part it out.

But, if that is the intent, let's remove items one through seven and just open up a new figure. Remove the pack piece I was missing put that in a box or envelope and send it to me.

This way, they still end up with an incomplete figure which they do whatever they do with, they save themselves however much in return shipping I am not inconvenienced by having to drive anywhere out of my normal routine and I am guaranteed to receive the only piece I really wanted as it was missing from a sealed box.

I didn't request a whole figure, I just wanted the pack I paid for.

If I didn’t have a garage I’d have to trash it. It may be possible to sell it on eBay—- I sold the box for the D&D Colossal Red Dragon a few years ago for $50.

Hah, I have an unfinished attic I store my TF boxes in, but the entrance in my ceiling might actually be too narrow to fit the Unicron box

I took the innards out, collapsed the box, took it up in stages, then opened the box out again and refilled it. No issues at all doing it that way :)

I just don't know yet. The huge box is sitting in the corner of the living room, staring at me. I go back and forth between just selling it or trying to mount it in planet mode, from the ceiling in my Workshop, next to my Cybertron sculpt from Bot-Sculptor.
It would look pretty cool, and honestly, the hassle of selling the first one makes me kind of want to just keep this. But then I think about how my luck usually runs and imagine me hanging an $800, 8kg, limited edition figure from the ceiling, and all the ways that can go horribly wrong... I'll have to think about it some more.
No idea, I haven't heard anything more from them, they never mentioned anything about returning it and I imagine they would normally advise me of that before sending me the new one. I haven't opened the shipping box yet to see if there's a return label. It would need to be a COD or Postage Paid docket, because the cost of shipping this, even locally, is huge. You've got me thinking now, so I'll open the shipping box this weekend and take a look to see if there's anything inside it. If I do find a shipping label I'll reach out to them and find out what they want me to do.

From what I've heard, there are no more replacement units available (as of today). There are limited replacement parts though.

Yeah, after a couple of people started suggesting it'll soon be too late, I did mine last week (3 weeks or so after delivery?). Fortunately, nothing was amiss
