Exactly Thank you for posting about your experiences with Target They may not sue per se, but there are other avenues of consequences that could be detailed in said contracts, like the example given of if Hasbro sells an exclusive promised to Target to another store then Target buys less Hasbro product overall. There's likely arbitration clauses in the contracts to prevent public attention to law suits. This is a good example and well thought out
Mine is taken now but seems like there should be more to go around. So now that you are on the list, my guess is someone will have you covered soon. Good luck!
Went through some more 25th Joes. Here’s 3 Fireflies from the line: Wave 2 single pack Wave 4 comic pack Hall of Heroes(HOH) single pack Wave 2 single and the wave 4 comic pack share the same buck, which shared parts with wave 2 Beachhead. The goggles are removable. HOH Firefly instead used the early and smaller Snake Eyes/OG13 buck but with the bandolier from wave 2 Firefly, making for a weird look: Meanwhile, here’s the Snake Eyes(from wave 5) we should’ve gotten in the Walmart retro assortment, along with a retooled radioactive Snake Eyes from 1 of the MASS Device packs. These 2 aren’t as fiddly as the Snake Eyes figures from the earlier waves of the 25th line. 1 thing to note is that the modern 4” joe sculpts 2007-present started closer to 3.75 but eventually ended up at a 4” scale by POC. So a 2007 Snake Eyes will look smaller overall than a 2011 or later one. This worked out for the better as the figures became a lot less fiddly compared to when the 25th line started. I did read that the new retro Stalker and Cobra Trooper at Walmart lack the leg screws and metal t bar(that the hips attach to) compared with previous 2007-present modern Joes. They share construction with the new retro FANG pilot….so apparently there’s no metal at all. I heard about 1 Stalker breaking already and when the retro FANG was released, there were already a few reports of broken FANG pilots. Might pick up Stalker and the Trooper to test out. Soaking joints should free stuck joints. However I have had 1-2 modern joes that had joints literally fused together through melting, right out of the box. Just something to watch out for. The head sculpt for retro Stalker looks familiar, it may be from the 25th Stalker from a MASS Device set, just with added dot printing.
*Pop* "Hey, guys. Ah, ya know, it's funny, these people, they go to sleep...they think everything's fine, everything's good...they wake up the next day and they're on fire." GI JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOE
Amazon.ca listing for Heavy Artillery Roadblock (milky way) is live now. Priced at $33.99. If you missed it last time, here's a possible chance to catch up. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08S59Z446...t_i_HVSZGY16QZ1Y6B3XAGAW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Firefly is my favorite Cobra character from GI Joe and the comic pack version (v15) is one of my favorite action figures of all time behind only the original Firefly. Those accessories and the paint on him in the darker colors is just perfect for an update to his look. As for the modern 4 inch Joes, I prefer the earlier figures myself from 07-10 or so but Roadblock and Gung-Ho from those later releases are so big and well made that I don't even consider the 25th for them.
So, I was checking ToysRUs, and it looks like they have listings for all the Cobra Island figures, minus Baroness. I don't think they ever had a formal release here in Canada, so what's the likelyhood that they could have good distribution here, given that I think they're learning from their mistakes from the target exclusives?
Sorry for the late reply...as I’m currently busy due to work. Thanks for refreshing my memory on the Joes! I think I almost picked up all the vehicles? I regretted not picking up the Crimson Copter? I kept putting it off until it sold out...arghhh! Good point on the design inconsistencies...totally forgot they used t-joints at one stage! ...oh man...I don’t know if I should pay scalper prices for Bludd in my country...
Yeah no. Classified even with exclusives kicks the shit out ultimate in price, articulation, and bang-for-your-buck. Plus, we don't even know if this is ultimates, it could be just another 12-in 5 POA figure.
It’s for sure ultimates and reaction. I was at the S7 San Diego store in March and the employees there said they were coming.
