I get it man... If I were to do it all over again, I would go the way of New Age & Magic Square. They are INCREDIBLE, and a hell of a lot more affordable.
Not to mention QUITE the space saver!!!
However, I'm already in too deep. And I really do love my collection.

I totally get the sentiment, and I LOVE the Kingdom line. However, the Masterpiece line brings me so much joy, I can't imagine giving it up.

I guess it is easier for me because the only one I have is Tigatron instead of all of the others with him. I have all the other characters from Kingdom and I realized that I can touch them without any fear of them breaking at all.

Plus I currently am stuck living with my bipolar brother who likes destroying shit anytime something doesn't go his way so better to not have anything expensive and fragile.

That second part definitely changes the situation. Personally, I'm not super duper anal when it comes to small paint chips or whatever, so I play with my masterpieces without too much worry myself.

There are two prevailing types of collectors when it pertains to masterpiece figures, those who view them as museum pieces with the intention to be kept pristine and displayed under very specific condition which is a-ok in my book. Then there are collectors who also love the accuracy but want to tinker with and handle there figures with the same glee we had in our youth. Neither approach is wrong it's just up to your personal preference. I like goofing around with the MP figures at my workstation when I have a free minute and an imperfect here or there doesn't make them any less have fun to own. Now if you're concerned with how others may treat those figures there is absolutely nothing wrong about getting out of the MP game and going to the Kingdom line which I love as well.

I look at the MP figures as display pieces. I might transform them once a year.

Up until this year, if I wanted to mess around with a figure, I'd grab one of the T30 boys off the shelf. No fear. And no need for the instructions :p

Not knowing how this will effect BW yet, but could be a factor, is their desire to scale back the complexity some and reduce the price some, they maybe trying to figure out how that will pertain to BWs.

If they’re trying to reduce complexity then say goodbye to Terrorsaur.

Yes, that would be pretty bad for BWMPs in general, considering that even now the beast mode is often very compromised.
Do we have a source for this info?

So at this point, when is the next time we could realistically expect an announcement?

MP-50 Tigatron was revealed 485 days ago and released 254 days ago. There has been no news of a new BW MP in that time, official or leaks. With the prototype reveal of MP Jetfire/Skyfire and mre info on MP Raiden being revealed, the next announcement is most likely mid-2022 at this rate, and that is me being optimistic.

There's also the chance that Tigatron may be the last BWMP. Not saying that it will be, but it's something to consider.

I dont think their over, its just a new lead designer who running the line the way he wants to and possibly prefers G1, and doesnt put a priority on BW like Kobayashi did. He designed or was involved in designing most of the original G1 toys. If anything we may see some other things especially like RiD and the Predacons in BW II as part of his thing with G1 is alt modes. Also a good chance the survey questions from 2 years ago were to set up his run and the plan is to look past S1 BW.

Just because there’s no news doesn’t mean the line is dead, it just means there’s no news. We have not logical reason to believe this line is done.

I was mostly asking about when there is another event or magazine where it is concievable we might get an announcement.

Technically, there would have been shows from May-July and FK but from the interview it sounded like we would start seeing Raiden first.

I'm just going to blame covid for the delays and hope we see some announcements in the second half of the year that will come out in line with Japan's 25th anniversary.

That's the most reasonable conclusion, whatever wasn't already in the pipeline got pushed back until the world started spinning again. BW has steadily been gaining ground in popularity again thanks to the Kingdom line and TT has never missed out on an opportunity to cash in on anniversaries. I'm feeling the same way about a possible mention for the next release until sometime before fall 2022.

Beast Wars has been getting a LOT more attention lately. I would be surprised if Takara decided now was the time to stop.

They literally dusted off a mold from before mp44 to finish so I dont think it's much the pandemic versus the direction the new lead wants to go. Hes obviously showed no desire to alternate release as 51-54 and possibly 55 will all be G1. Like I said I dont think it's dead it's simply not the priority Kobayashi made them.

Kingdom is going to take away potential buyers simply because for some people it will be good enough,no different than Seige and MP Skyfire. The question becomes if you know you're going to lose buyers how do you pick more up. That's the difference between G1 and BW, G1 can promote itself to other groups of collectors especially with licensed alt modes. Outside of Optumus and Megatron iterations what does BW have to promote to people who only have a casual interest in Transformers. I think that's a part of what they're trying to figure out and why we saw Lio and the survey options. I expect them to shake things up with next few BW releases when they come.
