You're right, forgot about Zeta Superion as well.

Maybe GT should start scaling down their Gravity Builder, since Zeta and Cang Toys are doing the same to theirs. At least we might have a chance of having 6 bots of equal height and body proportion while the only combiner kibble are the forearms and the chestpiece, and the combined mode still looks great as well.

    ...and put their Hotspot aside....

Ok, that's it, too much partsforming for me. I'm out of this. It's the Micromaster Sixteam Combiners all over again. At least those were cheap, and their torsos 'transformed' into some kind of crappy jet. This one is useless.

If they need to use that much of a frame to get the right look, I'm okay with it and that looks great to me. I'm also liking the MS one, which I'm also getting. Love me some Devastator.

Zeta Superion you at least still needed the arm bots.
This is borderline Menasor territory but without the transforming into a trailer.

But anything for "Cartoon accuracy" I guess. At least Magic Square with just the thigh piece and Takara (based on how they're using the Hybrid part of MP for their combiner if they ever replace UW Devastator) are willing to have it more bulked out to avoid this.

Maybe if I ever get the chance to make that ultimate display Omega Supreme can do the neck lift on the shell as revenge for the destruction of Crystal City.

NA is flexing so hard with this set. Sculpt is toon to the teeth, which is not everyone's cup of tea. But this is my lane and can't be happier to see this thing come out. Articulation is nuts, and having what na has put out so far, the build and paint will be there as well.

    Super excited for this

So does Long Haul even do anything in the combined mode or is he just there for moral support?

I would have rather have seen NA lose the trumpets and use the plastic for leg and forearm covers. Disappointing to see that much hollowness on bots in this day and age.

I generally like the individual Constructicons better for NA still, but aesthetically Magic Square's Devastator is my preferred Devastator.

It surprised me how much of a frame NA built for their Devastator. It would been better if they could pulled a combination off with less parts, but there seems to always be a little likely parts forming at legends scale.

But if articulation is much better and NA can hold more posses I could still go for NA. Hopefully there are lots of in hand reviews before either starts shipping.

Which joints on your MS Menasor arms are loose? My copies of the two arm-bots haven't come in yet, so I can't vouch for them, but on the Menasor frame, everything is extremely stable. There's no flopping at all; quite the reverse, I need to apply more effort than I'd like to get the arms to move around.

Likewise, I need to pry the leg-bots off. They absolutely do not fly off with a shake. MS Motormaster's connection to the MS Menasor frame is definitely unsatisfying, but it's still very secure - he's definitely not coming out with a vigorous shake, and even his back half (which doesn't peg into anything and is just held in place by Motormaster's waist joint) doesn't flop around the way I expected to.

Either my copy is extraordinarily solid, or your copy is extraordinarily loose.

I have zero problems with partsforming. I want every mode to look it’s best, and if that means extra parts, so be it. The g1 toys partsformed too.

but this is testing the boundaries of what is considered partsforming… I’m a bit surprised by NA here.

I think just my copies, because some of my mate doesn't have the loose joints problem. The loose joints also happening on the pelvis area which I heard can tighten it up using the screws. I manage tighten one but the other one doesn't seems want to.

Honestly I might get Magic Square for the Combine Mode but NewAge for the Individual Bots

NA Long Haul has rather good proportions if we consider only the toon and isn't bad and Scrapper is impressive for details. As combiner ,I prefer MS is bulkier and Scrapper foot seems very stable for different poses with that rotating joint.

mine isn't overly loose or anything, but i could see it having benefited with ratchets. i find if i pose him in a crouching wide "A" stand on a really smooth flat surface, the feet can start sliding and wanting to do the splits. i ended up taking apart the hinge, cleaning out some residual plastic flashing and tightening up the screws and it helped somewhat. i might eventually end up adding some extra material, perhaps paint or thin washer to give it a bit more friction.
