Speaking of said headshot... NGL, that entire episode was quite spectacular when it comes to action, and the sniper battle that came before this is also quite a blast to watch with some great moments (Like how Kazami was willing to dive directly into Alus's line of fire to protect Stola, Freddie and a granny with nothing but a badly damaged shield that barely stops the rifle's blast; Thus giving Hiroto a chance to find Alus's position and snipe out Alus's sniper rifle)
One of the reasons why Re:Rise was one of the better "Build" series. Even the dub is outstanding, especially with Billy Kametz playing Hiroto. Though I feel it's typecasting considering his other prominent isekai role of the past couple of years playing the stoic, jaded, and emotionally burdened characters. When I'm done with the Dominance, I should really finish my Uraven armor and Core Mk2.
I watched the dub thinking "wait... I know that voice," then this episode and the following one happened, and I was like "yeah... it's him."
Finish snap-fitting the Stormbringer. Love this design to death. I hadn't built anything else derived from the RX-78-2 ver.2.0, but the shoulder-armor is attached in a weird way that I'm not used to. I'm also having trouble keeping some of the finger-attachments in-place, but not really a big deal anyways. Anyways, this guy will stay like this for a while. My next project is the F90II anyways, and I'll probably come back to the Stormbringer after that. Time to take an inventory of paints on-hand and probably order some more. On an aside, if anyone is building the GM Dominance or GM Sniper II and needs any of the spare/extra parts that come with the Stormbringer, let me know and we can work something out. Future project idea: Core Gundam to repaint into Crazy Diamond and HG Gundam X decoed as The Hand. (with maybe Shining/God Gundam's hands grafted on)
I've got a whole box of nothing but the leftovers from the GM Commando, Sniper II, Sniper Custom, and classic '79 GM just like this. Between the Powered GM and Hazel Custom, I've got nearly a whole torso, beam rifle, and skeletal leg parts from the Gundam Mk2. ver 2.0. I can understand the parts from Hazel because of the lateral transition from Mk2 to Titans Test Types, but the Powered GM is a GM Kai retool and all it needed from the Mk2 was the bazooka.
I built the MG Freedom 2.0 earlier this year (or was it late last year?) EITHER WAY, I reference my Freedom Gundam experience and now immediately transition to a completely non-Gundam product that arrived in the mail this week: Xinshi (GET IN THE DAMN ROBOT!) Hobby's Metal Slug X kits. I preordered these two from USAGundam, they were about $14 each. There's 4 other vehicles, each with a character figure AND bonus parts to assemble Morden's Space Tank. Unfortunately, Marco & Tarma are the only playable characters represented. The others are a POW, 3 different Enemy Soldiers, and of course, Morden (who's a bonus figure in the Land Seek kit.) These are nowhere near finished, but I do need some advice regarding glue/cement. Since I'm hopelessly spoiled from Bandai kits & their durability, I'm just not used to parts connecting via simple pin & hole method. Most of the parts hold together firmly, but the Slug Flyer's tail wings are pretty loose. There are slight recesses that they fit into on the fuselage, and then the pins go into the holes in the recess. SO... What's the best non-super glue adhesive to use on a part with a pretty fragile looking connection?
TESTORS MODEL MASTER plastic model cement in the angled bottle with a high-precision needle-shaft applicator, if you can find it. failing that, TAMIYA LIQUID CEMENT, in either regular or "EXTRA THIN" i personally prefer the more viscous, less pungent, and overall easier-to-control MODEL MASTER, but, since that product line is now defunct, you'll likely have a better chance of finding the TAMIYA liquids at your local hobby shop...
A friend sent me this picture this morning... I am kind of at a loss for words. The caption apparently reads "Who did this to me??" ... but all I can think of is, "I hate it when people wear their hats backwards." Must be another Barnes and Noble sample build.
Someone’s taking the piss. You don’t get that far building it properly just to stick the shoulder pad on the head.
my thought is it was done by someone picking up after knocked over display pieces but has absolutely no clue which model goes with what card or where the parts are supposed to go, and furthermore does not give a sh*t.
Entry grade. Excellent kit. Red, white, and blue kit was done using G Studio paint. Premixed ready to go. Red and blue turned out good and sprayed with ease. The white on the other hand was a struggle. I kept having an issue with the white paint eating through the primer and causing gunking and the color (yellow) to bleed through. Even with multiple coats. Like i said though, the red and blue gave me no issue. Still isn't bad paint. The colors are vibrant and the photo is fairly accurate imo.
Final stretch on MG Deathscythe Hell. Got the decals done today and applied the final topcoat. Will try to assemble everything tomorrow
