It's not in the instructions or promo pictures, but it was the first thing I tried when transforming him. Hated having his head poke out of Menasor's shoulder :p

Guess who's gonna merge a beautiful robot today. :)

Spoiler alert: Deadend quality is MEH.

Be careful, the biceps and wrists of my Deadend was totally stuck, nothing that the magic of Bayer Silicon Spray can't handle :lol . Fixed in less than 10 seconds, but it has visible stress marks from manufacturing. Also has marks and scratches of a bad finishing. Nothing important, he's gonna be an arm. :lol  And the feet are VERY loosed, I can fix him with Vallejo sorcery (look at my signature).

Dragstrip is superb in everything, I think it's totally made in Nylon except few pieces. No issues, no stuck pieces, not marks or scratches, everything perfect except a loosed knee... Again, Vallejo sorcery will do the thing. :lol

I hope you didn't mean WD40, because that will melt the plastic.

Not to be a wise ass, but:

Crystalline materials are unaffected by the hydrocarbons in WD-40, you can spray them as much as you wish.
Most of Magic Squares are made of nylon, which is a crystalline material.

It however is recommended not to use it on amorphous plastics. These includes styrene, ABS, PVC and polycarbonate.

And even with ABS and styrene I haven't had any problems.

    Edit:
My preference would be "handy oil" or sewing machine oil. (So much less messy than a spray)
If you want to be 100% safe; use silicone based oil.

    That's not being a 'Wise-Ass', that's informing me that I was wrong.

I freely admit that I don't know about what these are made of, I just thought they were made of the same stuff as 'regular' tf's.

(I had a g1 second hand Soundwave chest door melt when I put some WD-40 on it. Not much, just a light mist. So that's why I was scared he used WD-40)

Just out of curiosity, why would MS use Nylon? Instead of ABS or PVC?

I guess because Nylon gives more flex so tolerances can be smaller. Maybe it's also cheaper?

Sucks about the Soundwave though, in this you taught me a lesson.
A mild polishing compound would remove the mist by the way.

He's cool, and I do love that I was able to transform everything with basically no instructions, but man those tabs were not how they should have set up connecting the limbs. How do you turn the legs around so the cars on front?
How do you attach those silver pieces that came with arm guys around Menasor's head ?

One question, anyone know how to mount the piles? This tab is noticeably bigger than the hole where is supposed to be placed. Almost half millimeter bigger. Don't know If I have to sand it. Any light will be welcome. :)

Thanks for the explanation, I don't like to force my toys, tomorrow I will sand it a little to avoid breakages and stress marks.

I had to fold out the grey trailer part and slide mine in. Then fold it back. 20210604_171853.jpg

Hope mine comes soon, but more hope to see car shells from him!!

I usually use thechosenprime for most of my transformer needs, but I thought I'd get them faster from bababobo. Alas they've been sitting in China for the past few days. So I saved a few dollars, but Meny has no arms. Sadness..

My last Baba order only took 5 days to reach the US but because it came via Pitney Bowes, it was another 4 weeks until it got to me. I wish you better luck than I had!
