I like the toy look too, my only problem was the face too. Why on earth didn’t they make the faces swappable!?

thanks, but it it was a VERY calculated assessment before i went ahead with it and making cuts. i wanted to be sure what i planned on doing was going to work, or at the very least not trash the original face to helmet fitment if it didn't work out as i didn't want to be left with a headless menasor.  

hoping my guide/photos inspired you with enough confidence to perhaps take the plunge yourself?  

or not of course, as alternatively you can just get one/more of the alt heads from @NOCV and save yourself the risk/trouble. that was my original plan but i really just wanted the original stoic face without any added expressions. i still might opt to get the yelling face as i'd like to get a back-filler and shell cars eventually.

 

My arm pieces came in yesterday. Didn’t mess with the robot mode much but nothing flopping, the engine on dragstrip wouldn’t tab in the the instruction though (flip and tab from the top) instead I had the split the legs apart and tab in side by side. For Dead End the instructions didn’t show the hands rotated so it took me awhile to figure out why the back half was bulging out.

I do have a semi qc issue with the bonus piece, one of them when folded into the shoulder pylon is not sitting flush, will need to take the pin out to see what’s wrong. Otherwise everything is good.

Here is my “homage” configuration to the first 3rd party Menosar that I am aware of, FPJ (minus the hands since I need that part for the shoulder).

 

Got in the arm bots today. I got the least amount of one on one time with them as they are arms now. LOL From my brief time with them as individual bots, Dead End was surprisingly hard to tab into car mode. Maybe as things wear he’ll get less so. Drag Strip’s transformation was less fiddly but still a nice figure. I doubt they will stay merged for long but it is nice having Menasor put together - like the completion of a puzzle.
I may break down and get the parts to display Menasor without them.

At any rate, zero regrets on this set. And it’s the first time I’ve had the Stunticons of any stripe. Back in G1 days, I had the Aerialbots and my cousin had the Stunticon set which was handy when we got together. It wasn’t planned but it worked since neither of us had managed to get our hands on the other group. Memories...

 

My arm bots also arrived today. Like others, my Dead End doesn't like to peg together in car mode but otherwise they're great and Menasor is complete now.

 

i must say i like these two a lot more than the leg guys. they seem slightly smaller than breakdown and wildrider, their ace sculpt is slightly smaller. is this incredibly scale accurate or something to do with production??

Really happy with how the Toyhax MTMTE logos look on Menasor.

 

I feel like I must be missing something. I can not get my Contain/Deadend into car mode with everything flush. I turned his hands around at the wrists and that allowed the sides of the car to pull together but I just can not seem to get the hood to press all the way down so that it lines up with the arm/shoulders. Any ideas?

 

I'm having a really hard time getting Beat Back and Collide to plug into the back of the legs. It's extremely frustrating.

 

any place where i can buy all 5 in one shot?

I found it easiest to leave the front of the leg un-tabbed so that I could hold the back of each side of the leg and once the back was tabbed into the Stunticons I could tab the front to the sides. Hope that’s clear/helps.

Only issue I'm seeing is my engine block has slits that are so poorly done there is no way to tab into them.

Plus side he's gonna rarely be in car mode.
