Quote replying to this, because I did the same. Literally three swipes with an exacto blade and he can look down just fine. No need to hack into the ball stem. It's a 30 second fix.

Got mine today. Everything looks great out of the box and the shield pegs in just fine. Notice the whole cannon arm thing not lowering too well but that’s not a big deal. However when I was posing him his arm would only go one way and I had to use a little bit more force than I would’ve liked to get it to go back down and heard a little pop. No more ratchet it sounds like in that arm. But the friction from the screw and everything keeps the arm and all of its poses no problem. Now I’m wondering if they’re ever even was a ratchet in that arm to begin with. And I don’t feel like ripping it apart just so I can have that little clicking sound again. I don’t even know how to fix it. But my toy ocd...

That shoulder thing still happens with mine. You just have to make it go back the other way and try again. I think if you try to put the arm down the ratchet locks itself (probably not purposely engineered) Kind of like a car seatbelt ahaha

In the meantime, the status of mine still hasn't changed from
    ubi.jpg
which is weird cause it's not like it's stuck at some airport waiting to be put on the right plane but more like the first stop at the sorting centre, when a courier is picking up your package...  I wonder if there's something wrong with my tracking.

If you opted for express shipping it should go strait from that to delivered to your local sorting centre. Mine took about 2 weeks to UK and then 2 or 3 days to my door.

Mine is fine. I just don't see why people were over the moon about it. It's just OK.

I recommend appying oil to the hips before moving them. The outward ratchets are weak but, the forward are super tight.

Not really, just a couple of loose areas and some people are doing mods to theirs for improved posability, which is optional. Oh and the shield peg is a bit too big, which is an easy fix that I've just been too lazy to do.

The quality definitely seems to vary, for example my knee joints were tighter than most and so I didn't do a fix. I haven't actually done any fixes to him or even inserted batteries and he definitely isn't the worst thing ever. I would still give him a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 as is, probably a 9 or 10 of I do all the optional mods. If any mods actually need done imo it's wrist strength, shield peg and maybe looking down. He doesn't feel like breaking or shattering anywhere, and is a hefty piece of plastic. As someone unable to get the original, I am very satisfied with him. Now I want his crew.

Seriously, I think BMB bring some of the best figures into my collect with very reasonable price, as long as you know what to be expected. As a follow collector, I really wish you won't stay away from it.

For example, the BMB KO OS Shockwave, doesn't matter 1st or 2nd batch, there are lots of complains about joints breakage, so it should be a junk, right? When I got mine (supposed to be 2nd batch), I didn't transform it at all since I read all the posts. And it's such a great looking figure, very statue like paints, and only $70, almost as big as FansHobby Overlord, looking as good with 1/3 of Overlord's price. Every time I picked it up to clean the dust, I always amazed at the satisfaction of this Shockwave brings to me. (BTW, I do plan to open it up when I have time and apply fix to the joints so I can transform it in the end)

knees and hips are loose enough to move more than i'd like but not enough to piss me off. he's very lightweight feeling for the size, but it's not a cheap lightness. like i'm comparing him to my threezero guys who don't need to flex into vehicles and can afford a decent amount of die cast, and he still feels quality so i'm not stressed.

i did mostly get him as a placeholder tho so don't ask me about transformation or alt mode haha, i saw the feet were like 5 joints alone and said nah

Yeah.... That shockwave, as impressive as it is, still fails at the most basic level. I don't much care for figures that I can't touch without breaking... So that's not inspiring much confidence. And basically everyone says you need to do mods or fixes to make his joints function properly, which again inspires 0 confidence in this figure....

Got mine in yesterday! I have both Dragoon and this guy now so everything the KO has to offer will be compared to the standard that is Dragoon.

    Visual impressions:

This guy looks awesome and has a great shelf presence. The new sculpted details and paint apps (especially in the head) really pop and make this guy vivid. The original details are just as sharp and deep as on Dragoon and the new ones offer increased screen accuracy and are incorporated seamlessly. The slightly darker gun metal body paint seems to accentuate them as well. His new size looks really good too. I think decreasing the size of the figure while simultaneously adding additional sculpted detail really work well here. For me, the KO definitely wins in the visual category.

    Weight and feel:

I was expecting him to weight less, but he feels pretty good in hand. Definitely not what I would call light by any means.

Plastic feels a little different, but still great. It's hard to determine what it is that is feels different, but I think it might be just a tad less dense than the plastic used on Dragoon? It could also be the way the paint was applied, but the textures between Dragoon and the KO feel the same. For those who have troublemaker/smash (the constructicon haul truck), it feels similar to that. Maybe also similar to Dream Factory's Steel Claw's (Done Crusher) plastic. It is very sturdy and solid and maybe a little lighter. The plastic itself is not prone to scratching, denting, creasing etc. I have 0 issues or concerns with it.

As already discussed by others, the front skirt pieces are indeed much more flexible. This is not a hinderance or problem in anyway and probably helps when transforming him. The rubbery plastic holds its poses and does not warp.

Every collector will have their preferences when it comes to weight and feel. It could go either way here. Personally, it's a tie for me.

    Joints and articulation:

My figure's knee, elbow, wrist, finger, ankle, and head joints are all good. Nothing flops around, comes loose, or pops off on those. They could probably be tighter, but they are fine just how they are.

His shoulder friction joints are a little loose though and struggle to keep his arms up a little bit when his shield, sword, or cannon are attached. Also noticed that he can't put his arms/shoulders back as far as Dragoon can as a result of that shoulder joint they modified. This prevents him from doing more natural poses like having his arms down and resting against his sides. Definitely gonna cut that shoulder joint to match Dragoon's and allow for proper articulation and more natural arm poses.

Forward/backward hip ratchet joints are super secure and hold poses just fine, even with the additional diecast in the feet or shaking. Side hip ratchet joints are not as tight, but mine can hold both legs all the way out without falling unless I shake it.

Head is a little more limited in range of motion, both in the neck and in how far his face horns can open, but shaving the peg seems to do the trick for increased vertical articulation and I display mine with the battle mask on/closed.

Ultimately, Dragoon has tighter joints and greater overall articulation out of the box.

Aside from the loose shoulder joints and weaker, outward hip ratchets, the QT on this guy is great and the figure is awesome. I noticed a little bit more flashing than what I remember seeing on Dragoon (none), but that could be just my copy.

Overall, this will be my definitive Dragoon to display in bot mode. Although I really like owning Dragoon, if I were to choose between the two, I would probably go for the KO. Between the added details, updated paint apps, and downsizing (which I like a whole lot more than I expected), this guy just looks like a beast with even more shelf presence than Dragoon imo. Definitely worth it and a great addition to any collection.

Min did not come with batteries :(  I ordered rom ShowZ. Anyone else?
