But then lastly I go for what looks good and less toy-ish over cartoon accuracy.. so yeah, hoping for silver or at least grey... they went for silver in soundwave and he feels amazing :3

Magic Square Toys Optimus Prime 2.0

So Magic Square did it again. They basically announced a new G1 Legends Prime.
This should DEFINITELY help lure out NA and show off their Legends Prime already like I mentioned earlier XD well.... now we play the NA waiting game.... again.

 

NA still looking better :3 Just taking forever x.x

 

NA better rethink/remold their hip skirts if they really want to compete. They won't match the poseability that MS has now shown us.

 

Any update yet from NA ?

 

why… they'll just release a v2.0 later on for us to upgrade to.  

 

Not that this extra articulation is a need though.

 

Both look amazing. I'm still hyping for NA's version, I'm expecting them to most likely respond by tomorrow.

 

I’m already onboard the all NA train. MS 2.0 looks good. Overall I think NA = MS 2.0 in looks. Both do things better than the other.

 

I haven't the willpower to stick to one, so I'll be picking up both NA and MS Primes. But I'm more excited about NA. They always have such good, imaginative transformations and I've never had a quality issue with NA. They just feel more premium to me.

 

Ultimate it boils down to taste between the two. I am on the NA camp but I cant say there arent figures that had a better execution in MS and vice versa. If they didnt have differences is proportions id probably mix em.

 

One thing NA wins hands down is painting, I mean, the metalic stuff from MS is good, but anything else feels bland, toy-ish and poor. Now any version of NA stull has overall good paint.

And to me this counts more than say... articulation...

 

NA has all of the essentials for articulation too. Things like butterfly joints are a bonus.

 

Yep, quite happy with NA articulation so far, was just refering to someone who mentioned MS prime has that crazy hip articulation... not relevant to me.

 

Poor NewAge, now they have to release an Optimus Prime AND an Optimus Prime 2.0 back to back in order to fully spite Magic Square.

 

Yeah I feel like NA keeps trying to get an edge on MS but it just ain’t happening. MS is too damn good in the sculpt department and they’ve been cranking them out! I love NA but I feel they’ve been getting clobbered more than not.

 

Eh Quality over quantity.

 

i'll have to disagree with you there. NA sculpt for me has been more consistently better, particularly for alt mode, vs MS except for on a few occasions where their bots had better proportions.
