Yes, you're right.
The different shades under different lights also made me think they might not be the same parts, but now I think they probably are.
Will still be interesting to see how they work though. I think Dpuff could be right with the bits connected to the cab / the top of the stacks. It looks like the hands might slot into those; hiding them.

Big ups to them for at least giving people a freaking chance. I think all the major retailers should do this: announce the toy, AND a presale DATE AND TIME. Even if they can do immediate preorders, give people a chance to actually KNOW about it. How would doing that hurt them?

Actually, duh, of course it could. Any retailer who didn't do that would get all the orders first.   But for FT stuff specifically, I guess it doesnt' matter since no matter what it is it's GOING to sell out anyway. So that "risk" is negligible relative to the goodwill one could generate.

Secured one from TCP and just cancelled my TFSource pre-order. Anyone not able to get one from TCP, please check TFSource soon.

Finally got my order completed at TCP, after lots of crashing/freezing (like everyone is experiencing).

Ugh... this is NOT something I want to be doing for future FT figures. It's annoying enough camping out to get SDCC sets and whatnot. I have zero interest in doing the same thing for 3P figures.

 

This was literally in my f***n cart and wouldn't allow me to complete.

LOL I tried to see if I could get in a preorder at TCP since technically it hadn't gone live yet. Spent 6 minutes refreshing and then when the page finally loads it's already sold out.

I actually do like this better than Huff, it IS more show-accurate, and I did plunk down $120 for their Brawn so I was willing to take the plunge on this one too because I like figures that are appropriately goofy... (I went with Toyworld's seaspray and cosmos for that reason) but I'm not willing to pay $140 for a minibot pre-order. That's nuts.

So, back to being perfectly satisfied with Huff.  

 

it's really bad how significant of a feeling of accomplishment I now have after success with the TCP pre-order.

 

I had to refresh at checkout because my state would not display... that was driving me NUTS.

 

Got my preorder with TCP - real fun... I really hope this isn't the norm from hereon. Especially for Stunticons and Aerialbots when people are already committed - FansToys better make more of those so we can be spared of this crap. No matter what TCP can do I doubt they can prepare their site for this any better. I just like that they are least give people a heads up so they have a chance otherwise preorders get wiped out without me even realizing

 

I finally got it MAYBE after about 15 minutes stuck after I clicked checkout.

 

I got one from them. Their server almost crashed. I started the order at release time. finally able to hit checkout and it went through at 10 after. Had to refresh a ton of times to get the checkout page to load. Ridiculous we have to fight to get these guys. freaking just meet demands already people!!!
