plus I’m not personally collecting core class unless it’s intending to be the scale of the character like Rattrap and Vertebreak. I like legends size figures but they end up being played with for 15 min and end up in a bin. I don’t look at core class when I’m looking at the ark anyway.

I'm not collecting Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom, but hot damn does the Ark look amazing. Just looks like a big fun chunky transfomer. And I don't think I realized how big Unicron actually was either!

It looks pretty cool. It works surprisingly well and is HUGE. Overall, a great toy.

Everything I've heard is that even pictures can't accurately convey how big he is.

Is it just me or do the windows look nigh identical to the siege reflector design? upload_2021-6-2_7-49-38.png

I agree. It’s the scale of those tiny figures with Unicron that is actually way off. (Although they were in the film as well, to be fair.) But that’s okay, they were just meant to be a fun thing to have with Unicron. I’m not sure why the reviewer brings it up as a source of criticism, even if mildly. Imagine figures to scale where one would need a microscope to actually see them. :p  On the plus side, you could imagine those huge dust-mites are alien invaders for your literally microscopic autobots to fend off.;)

Those micro figures look like they scale very well with the Ark though. It would be nice if more were produced. Not really my thing, but if I had the Ark, I’d like them.

Teletraan-1 appears to provide that with his bridge mode.

I didn’t order the Ark, but I like this very much, and the video just increases my enjoyment of the figure. I’m tempted, but I have a number of stuff on preorder and these Titans are perhaps a bit too big. I actually had Scorponok on preorder and cancelled him for the same reason.

Do we know if the turrets can move? From these pics/lack of mention in the review it looks like they don't.

    Thank you

My first thought was no robot mode, convertible ship for core class. However, this is great! The Marvel comics are MY G1 as I hardly ever saw the cartoon. So Last Autobot is cool, I never thought we'd get a Mainframe to go with the MTMTE cast so that's awesome, and it's got the Golden Disks from my favorite Transformers cartoon. Checks off all the boxes of my TF fandom except Prime and I can do a core class diorama with it.

    That's true.

In the review it was said that they don't move, it's a bit of a bummer.

Yep, all the comments on how big it is doesn't mean much if you can't use it as a playset. All it makes for is a big robot and a big prop that is still out of scale with the mainline and even core class. Mainframe is the star of the set but I'm not paying $160 for him alone.

    I thought the same.

Also, from what I watched in the video, he seems awfully over-engineered; for what the finished robot form is that is.

Seems like you could've just untucked the arms out, untucked the legs out, flipped down the nose cone part and called it finished.

So far I’m not convinced. The robot sculpt and Teletraan look great. The gaps in the ship mode are very unsightly though, and it doesn’t seem like a whole lot of thought was put into getting the rear looking up to scratch. Given most would probably be into the Ark primarily as the G1 cartoon Autobot headquarters, the attention to that role does not seem very big, aside from being able to tilt it on one leg and open the teeny weeny entrance hatch. I would have kept the back boosters/jets empty as well with some blue effects parts, instead of just painting the thing blue. That doesn’t do the Mt Saint Hilary look any favours either, if your base is glowing blue all the time.

Given the pretty large amount of shelf space it would take up especially in Ark mode, it’s a no from me.

I would really love a more Mt Saint Hilary base-orientated playset along the lines of the various Star Wars or GI Joe playsets/dioramas (such as the recent Tantive IV) that had a nicely painted exterior outside view and some play features inside. It would be a nice opportunity to really go ham on the base components, where Titans in the past have been severely restricted for accomodating a big robot. Haslab would be a great opportunity, but probably not very likely though. :\

Also a slightly orange-r standalone Mainframe release would be cool.
