I will be extremely surprised if Blitzwing's price ends up being less than $250. Considering what people are currently paying for Astrotrain, I won't be surprised if FT put him at $300.
I'd like an MP Blitzwing in my collection but between the price, the preorder madness and the risk it might have QC issues with no spare parts available I'm going to pass on this.

 

Didn't they only lower the price to that because DX9 put out Gabriel at $275? I could have sworn the initial preorders are at least $400.

 

That lube is very much a requirement with these current prices!

The international market will smash through the $300 barrier pretty easily then, I should imagine.  

 

Yeah I remember it being $450+ when announced, then they had to lower the price after DX9 announced theirs.

 

Time for DX9 and KFC to re-release their offerings at comparatively reasonable prices and take a chunk of the market - just like MMC did when XTB announced their much-delayed (and much increased price) Springer.

This is the sad thing, I don't think there is anyone who can put that kind of pressure on FT now. Maketoys and DX9 are basically dead, XTB is raising prices too, MMC actively tries to avoid direct competition.

 

Yep, and it's a damn shame, too. I usually prefer MMC even at equal prices because they're actually fun to transform. MMC could really eat FT's lunch if they can keep their QC up and seriously undercut FT's prices.

 

I'm hoping MMC goes for a complete reissue run like the other companies, I'd be able to get all the lost light crew and the djd at normal prices lol

 

I was over on the Fanstoys Masterpiece Official Facebook page and there's a post from Daniel Yuen saying a potential release for Berserk in August. I don't really know Daniel's credentials other than he seems to get pretty good feedback as a seller and is able to get hard to find figures. Either way I'd be down for getting Berserk in August, assuming the price isn't through the roof.

 

Berserk in August will set this board on fire.
