Ok so everything I wanted to do on this figure is done. One thing is that the ratchets on the legs and ab-crunch are really tight so it's not easy posing it but maybe that will get better over time. So happy that it's now all fixed! Time to open up MB-08 now!

My replacement parts arrived today. Got the top body all sorted and changed the ears since I had the head off.

It's quite easy but you have to remove the screw covers like on the thighs. You have to take apart all the ab-crunch area and then you get access to this part.

 

A simple and straightforward review. His transformation steps are on point. This is the fixed version.

 

I got mine today from Baba via eBay. Anyway to check and figure which version I have? So far seems like he’s fine with no issues.

Just looking at the photos in the first post & wondering if there's still plans to do Jetfire & Overload/Ultra Magnus to combine with this guy.....

Also, can someone explain what the "MBJ-01" designation is/was all about too please? (apologies if this has been answered elsewhere...)

 

He was gonna be a smaller scale at first, MBJ likely being MB Junior. Then he got bumped to MP scale and redesignated as just MB-15. Chances are the combiner partners are still on the table, just taking a while longer to perfect

 

He was going to be CHUG scale in the new line of MBJ-01, but then Takara revealed their Armada Prime so FH upscaled theirs to MP in the MB line, only for Takara's to never release.

 

Cool, thanks for clarifying this so quickly @Kaynowa & @Nova Maximus. Really hope Jetfire & Overload/Ultra Magnus are still indeed coming. They'd make great companion pieces positioned either side of MB-15 on a shelf or in a display cabinet. Definitely hoping they haven't gone down the same route as Roadbuster & G2 Megatron..... Likewise, the final battle Armada Prime has GOT to be a repaint FH will be considering... And I mean the colour scheme of the Takara TRU giftset, not Hasbro's version.

 

Either him or Nemesis for sure.

 

After being declared as lost by FedEx, my Naval Commander has arrived the very next day! Looking forward to transforming him tonight. So far, none of the easy-to-spot breakages that were in the first run.

An update: I've had my copy standing in super mode on my desk the last couple weeks. I just bumped it ever so slightly while setting something down and the waist joint crumbled, without any warning. I swear this figure is just cursed.
