Sideswipe looks great! Looks like he still has the ports that the spoilers for the Siege figure used so hopefully it'll be possible to make similar spoilers for this version. New wheels would've been nice but the Siege wheels work way better on him than they did on Mirage or Ironhide and Ratchet so if no one makes a replacement it won't bother me. The only thing that disappoints me is the black hinges on the sides, those were ugly on the Siege figure and they stick out even worse here because of how clean the rest of the car mode is. I hope they'll be paintable but I'm worried there will be too much friction during transformation for it to stick.

As long as there are third-party upgrades I generally don't really mind. The weapons Hasbro figures come with are usually too hollow and peg-y for me so I'd be buying the upgrades anyway.

Skywarps Bird hat while also having the same bird head on his chest is fuckin' hilarious. But Sideswipe is spot on. I'm down for one goofy ass looking transformer along with a G1 classic.

 

Y'know, I'm not usually one to care for vehicle modes too much, but the fact that Sideswipe's car mode legitimately looks exactly like ER Sunstreaker's is really cool. I wouldn't be surprised if they just applied the same vehicle CAD file to the siege Sideswipe transformation scheme. Now the issue becomes who to repurpose Siege Sideswipe into...

I didn't know they were reissuing Siege Sideswipe.

 

Skywarp looks pretty good. A minor (and I mean MINOR) shame about the beast head making his chest white, but I expected that. It's not even really an issue to me, I'm just happy we got some BWII love.

Sideswipe, is a Sideswipe. Granted I love the mold, and I'm getting this for Skywarp anyway. Car mode looks nice, but I'm not a fan of the white feet (prefer siege's silver), and the weapons being painted in full whit doesn't really look right to me. I'll just use the shoulder cannon from the siege mold. Red Alert is going to look swish though.

Now please release this Sideswipe remold as Clampdown so we can complete the lambos.

 

They did it! The only differences in alt-mode are the wheels and COMBAT ports. It's perfect.

 

Gonna be honest, I thought I'd be selling off Sideswipe before the new pics.... Not anymore. Now I just need to find a good repurpose for Siege Sideswipe

Probably a name recognition thing. The fuzor is probably what comes first for people when they think "Beast Wars Silverbolt."

 

I'm trying to gather my feelings on Skywarp. That is one weird headsculpt (animation accurate -I know), but somehow the overall paint job is really good. Sideswipe, looks the same in bot mode....

I might. Much better showing than Grimlock.
