If you aren't even going to back up your claim, you could stop trying to say that a company will go out of business cause you don't like 1 of their comic runs, of which they have many. Cause you've been saying this kind of stuff for months now without providing any insight and nothing has seemingly happened. The comic in question is even on issue 30.

American comic books aren't doing as hot as people think they are compared to manga but you're not allowed to say it due to 'certain reasons'.
During the MTMTE and RiD days my local LCS was ordering at least 20 of each Transformers comic, these days he orders 5 copies of the new Transformers comic and they are all for reservists and no shelf copies.
The reality of Transformers comics is IDW1 had inertia (no matter how bad it got) it was running off and kept going and going because people were invested. When IDW1/The Hasbro-verse ended its very possible a sizeable portion of people just didn't like IDW2 and consider it a bad/boring reboot. Now imagine this but for every superhero comic being rebooted to an issue 1 and not going anywhere and/or having the characters invalidated by some new author or editorial mandate demanding drastic changes. IDW2 is never going to have the pull of IDW1 because that original IDW-verse had the backing of Furman and a fanbase still i need for a G1 reboot in the early/mid 2000, which then spiraled into a new direction with AHM and then the Barber-Roche era. What does IDW2 have? "Oh hey, I guess its another G1 rebooth for the nth time and its a reboot of IDW but more boring". At least the IDW Beast Wars stuff has the bonus of being a reboot of a show and story which hasn't been milked to death since 2005.

According to comichron.com comic profits have remained about the same since the 2000's when adjusted for inflation, but comic sales have decreased significantly in that time and comic prices appear to have risen faster than inflation. Why the hell did thy choose to use THAT body for Optimus? That remold of Ultra magnus was put out as a hey look what we can do hah hyuk, not something to be taken seriously else the official Cartoon would have used it. Why do that when you had the official Siege Optimus right there? Hasbro even commissioned a DLX version so you know he's official.
They're both official. They were both made in the same toyline. IDW went with this body cause they wanted to with the toy options that were out. Probably a combination of the show using the other body (for that G1 nostalgia and what warranted the DLX), too close to an Earth body, and they just like it. Really they should have gone the full way and given him the yellow eyes and a supermode (which may or may-not still happen) but that's just my two scents on it.
It was IDW's choice. Hasbro actually had nothing to do with IDW choosing to use toy designs for the characters.
