Actually it applies more to Hasbro's seemig need to rebrand every 3 years to get the next "crop" of kids interested. Unfortunately the toys of the mainline continue to get less and less appealing. Thank goodness for Generations. I know Prime was expensive to create, btu you had an emmy award winning show that looked beautiful and was great to watch. Instead hasbro has adopted this mentality of do it as cheaply as possible ever since Prime went off the air.

Season's dont really matter. In terms of sheer content.

The Original Series and Rescue Bots are pretty much tied

The Transformers had 98 1/2 hours episodes, and a Movie.
Rescue Bots had 104 1/2 hour episodes, so it's about the same either way. (remember in the 80's episodes were slightly longer because there was less commercial time per half-hour, so The Original series would have the most in sheer volume)

RiD 15 had 71 episodes over 3 seasons (the "2.5" season is debatable, I just lump it in with season 2, which was shorter anyway)

    Prime had 65 Episodes

While Cyberverse' 62 episodes may seem impressive over 3 seasons, remember they were only 11 minute episodes, so when compared to the standard 1/2 hour episodes it was only 31 episodes, plus 2 movies coming this November, really isn't much content, and isn't going to break any records in terms of amount of content, or longevity of series.

All that being said, I would love for there to be a long lasting Compelling Transformers Animated series. Something that lasted more than 4 seasons, and MORE than 100 episodes. Unfortunately I don't think the Nick series is going to be the answer to my request.

Okay but that's the point. They refresh every three years to catch a new wave of kids and the trends that appeal to them while the kids who remain interested in Transformers transition to the Generations line.

I can't get into much detail without breaking the rules, so I'll just say "Cuties was the last straw" and leave it at that.

Cuties was a strong film touching on a VERY uncomfortable subject, so I don’t necessarily blame you. Blame social media, the Teen Idolization along with the Uninvolved Parent + Little Adults phenomenon (not the first time that’s happened in history) that has become resurgent over the past couple of decades.
Now, with Hasbro running Transformers on Netflix, there is a possible opening for a much more in depth version of Transformers. Certainly a future continuation of Cyberverse would be a good thing, in my opinion. Cyberverse, I felt was an underrated TF show, there is solid characterization shown throughout seasons 2 and 3. I would like a more Nuanced Transformers show that exists more as a show as opposed to just a toy commercial that gets rehashed every three years. Heck, go all out and make a Transformers: Lost Light series. I would love to have Captain Rodimus voiced by H. Jon Benjamin (Archer was definitely an 80’s kid Man-Child) along with Gary Chalk as a OCD Ultra Magnus and any voice actor who could do a frustrated Allen Rickman (Rest In Power man / Cancer, you SUCK) impression, voice Co-Captain Megs. It should have a sorta Rick and Morty approach; the crew of the Lost Light are clearly the heroes of the story, saving the galaxy the only way they know how: Questionably.

Did you not like Steven Universe???? I really liked that show.

It wasn't stupid at all, I liked the animation, and well, okay, I do have ADHD, but I take my meds! I wasn't a big fan of the Steven Universe Future prequel series, but I loved the original show.

Oh please no on the Rickman impersonation. Megatron doesn't sound like Snape. His voice is full of gravel and growl, it's not aristocratic. He's a miner. He's not Colonel Brandon or any other English aristocrat.

My apologies but Steven Universe is the epitome of what is wrong with CN. The show appeals to you, and that's fine. CN makes shows for you, not me. It is what it is. I wish there was something of quality on CN bit there isn't. But that makes cutting the cord easier. I have dozens of older shows and thousands of hours of content on DVD and streaming, where I spend most of my viewing hours

He doesn't have to be though. In fact in several continuities he's not.

"Cartoon Network was awesome when I was a kid but man now it just sucks for reasons that can't possibly be related to the fact I'm a decade older now."

I mean, that's typically how it works. It's the same reason many of us stopped watching Wishbone and Arthur.

People on here acting shocked they're growing out of children's programming is my favorite form of unintentional comedy.

(Also, the subtle abelism of mocking ADHD doesn't go unnoticed. Stay classy.)

As a general rule, CN does not actually make shows for me. Which isn't very surprising, since aside from my well-medicated ADHD, I'm a 57 year-old woman. (I watched G1 when it aired. In the apartment I shared with my boyfriend in the company of other college students, the same people I played D&D, Traveller, Champions and card games with. We also watched Star Trek.)

I don't hate shows like Craig of the Creek or Victor and Valentino, but I certainly don't make any effort to watch them like I did with SU, or with Adventure Time, or Gravity Falls, or The Owl House, on Disney. Or Wild Kratts on PBS.

The CN shows that I have loved--Cyberverse included--are all done for on CN.

SU is done, Adventure Time is done, Regular Show is done.

Rick and Morty's still going on Adult Swim, but that's Adult Swim.

You were specifically criticising CN shows for lack of plotting, consistency, character development and worldbuilding.

Steven Universe had all those things, and that's why I specifically brought it up as opposed to shows with more absurdism, like The Regular Show, so I'm curious as to what you disliked about it. Was it the art style?

Because there certainly was a plot and the characters changed in response to their experiences. Sadie and Connie got braver, Mrs Maheswaran learned to listen to her daughter, Lars grew up, Steven fought a war, Pearl found herself... just, a lot of things really did happen in that show.

And the Homeworld Gems would've got on just fine with the Decepticons in several TF continuities (unless of course they wanted to de-organicise the same planets.)

I love streaming the older shows I've loved for 20, 30, 40, even 50 (Star Trek) years.

But I also don't intend to let myself miss out on anything good just because it's new.

No, Definitely Not Snape. I’m thinking more along the lines of The Metatron from Dogma combined with a sinister intellectualism ala Hans Gruber from Die Hard (a great Christmas film by the way, hehe). I should’ve made clear my first choice of course would be Corey Burton, whose TFA Megatron clearly influenced Lost Light / MTMTE Megs, but I haven’t seen him push for playing that role any. All we’ve gotten is Frank Welker, who IS Astounding, but admittedly sounds flat on the Big Movie Screen. As far as Allen Rickman sounding aristocratic..wow...the Brits Easily have my fellow Americans Impressed. Megs shouldn’t be a growling monster. Megs can have gravel, but to be convincing as an upstart revolutionary, his voice should posses gravel AND a vastly cultured Intellectuality FAR Above his Tarnian “station”. I think Cyberverse did a solid job on this front as well. This would contrast greatly with Optimus Prime’s John Wayne Bot of Action persona. It would also be great if he constantly refused to refer to Optimus as Prime and instead as Orion Pax, with a mixture of angry derision and pained betrayal (in his eyes).

Tmnt always lasted at least 100 episodes, it’s rare for transformers cartoons to break through this episode count. The G1 cartoon came really close.

Cyberverse Astrotrain is really awesome - and I love the banter with Dead End.

If you count the part of the live action Season 5 with Tommy where they broke the movie up into episodes, then G1 sorta' got to 100.

Note that even after you take out the Japan exclusive series, there are many more Transformers cartoons than Ninja Turtles cartoons. Rise was the first to fall well short of the 100 threshold and that was because Nick/Viacom wanted to replicate the Transformers model and keep the franchise perpetually on store shelves.

Since I imagine a fair number a fans haven't seen Season 3 yet,
who would be the main antagonist be now that Megatron passed on, the Quintisons and Starscream seem dealt with, and Megatron X is in-disposed? Will we get Cyberverse versions of characters like Overlord or Deathsaurus to take over that spot? Violengiguar?

Personally, I refuse to believe that Megatron died. :lol  But with one of the movies being titled (I think) "The Perfect Decepticon", I am REALLY excited to see if that means we might have a chance at the first animated appearance of the legit Tarn and the DJD. Maybe not in a kids show, but Cyberverse has already gone in quite a few dark places, so I guess we'll see. I'm good even if it's not the DJD. I'll take anything Cyberverse gives me. :lol

Same here. I wouldn't be so quick to count out the DJD yet. They'd probably be very watered down to their source material given Standard and Practices, but it wouldn't be the first time characters like that made it into children's animated shows. 90's Spider-Man did get Carnage in afterall.
