I think either Wreckgar or Apollux (probably Wreckgar) said Wave 5 Deluxes is most likely just Pipes and Slammer being pushed back from Wave 4, along with some repacks, while Wave 4 is just going to be Waspinator and Shadow Panther + repacks.

 

With all this talk about Needlenose, I think I should step in to say that nothing's completely concrete.

Skids was a no when the drunk leak thread first began, and now we've gotten word he's in Legacy. And Black Zarak was deconfirmed, then later was shown as a reveal that surprised even the leakers. So while leaks do confirm or deny certain things, they shouldn't be the "say all, be all" of the future. Hasbro (or at least some of their representatives) know about leaks, shown in the recent Fanfest and Fan First Friday, so misinformation COULD be rampant.

What I'm saying is... Needlenose probably still has a chance.

Kingdom getting very shelfwarmery where I live* at the moment so further re-packs are only going to do harm. And that's assuming wave 5 even makes it due to previous waves clogging up the shelves.

*A part of the world not known for having a lot of TF collectors where even stuff that sells for lots on eBay tends to linger.

 

There are four Arcees on the peg of my local Wal-mart, with only a couple of the other wave two figures still available.

I'm afraid to find out what will happen this next two waves with more repacks on the horizon.

The only Kingdom shelf warming I see around me is the Core wave 1, which makes me really excited about a hard time finding Soundwave when wave 3 drops!

 

She'll have company right away with wheeljack re-packed in wv3.
Only purpose that re-packs accomplish is to clog shelves.
It "solves" the nationwide empty peg issue and creates plenty of clearance product after holiday.
The wv4&5 reissues will probably be warpath & huffer.
For all we know, there is no wv5.
Blaster replaces starscream re-pack in wv4, while screamer moves to 86 leader w/cape, crown & throne.
The dxs stay where they are.

 

There hasn't been much "misinformation" though; Zarak was done AFTER wreckgar's source left, so they didn't know about it, and we were walways told "it doesn't mean never it just means right now", with the exception of those in the Deconfirmed section of the list.

 

  Looks like I’ll stick to preorders. Hunting in the wild will be a total waste of time.

To my understanding, the only ones in the Deconfirmed section of the list that are never happening are RotF Skids and Mudflap. Everyone else on there could happen at some point. Maybe not in the next three years, but I would never say never on any character in particular. Skids and Mudflap just seem to be Hasbro being careful about the kind of social issues that could arise given some people's opinion of those characters' depiction.

 

I have no personal opinion on it and, considering what a shit storm that conversation always starts, I'm not touching it with a ten-foot pole.

 

let's avoid a whole argument spinning out of this, i'll just sum it up as:
many people see Skids and Mudflap as heavily drawing from racist caricatures of Black people, and that's a much harder thing to sell as a toy than Devastator, where the worst thing about it from a selling-toys perspective is "haha he has wrecking ball testicles", especially since they left the wrecking balls off the toy
