Picked up on it awhile back too, and I'm honestly glad Mainframe isn't needed for the bot mode, I like when the pack in figures don't have to integrate

Fair, but he looks more right than Fort Max or Scorponok would without their heads :lol

They made it sound like he integrated and was needed for the bot mode chest. Then pics show up and hes not there. Then we saw mainframes weird third mode that looked like nothing at first.

Personally I am surprised that the fandom isn't screaming to see the fold open feature. I want to know whats in there, its more than just a bridge ( or so I believe)

Yeah I noticed it too im hoping its not just a cavity to drop mainframe into when he is in bridge mode and thats it cause thats a real missed opportunity to make it more of a playset.

Honestly I like the color change and I especially like the head sculpt change. Ark has never really been a former before (in my recollection) and I think the previous one had a bit of a goofy look, so I welcome the change.

In Animated the Ark was Omega Supreme but other than that, not really.

I, too, would need to see pics to know what GamerToons is referring to.

Cheesy.jpg I really like the robot mode and how he is a triple changer. Very excited to pick this guy up. Such a unique alt mode.

Found the guy who doesn't have a kid.

Kids don't know a damn thing about the value of a dollar. They love *big* toys because to them big is cool. They also don't like overly complex toys because if the transformation is too tricky it gets frustrating and depending on age they may not have the patience yet to work through it.

That's why many of the toy lines out there have big toys that are also hollow or simplified. Because it makes it an attractive toy for kids and an attractive price for parents.

One of my kid's birthday presents a few years back was a $100 Paw Patrol lookout with lights and sounds. He loves it.

The fact that these are still being produced after seven years means kids like the $150 big ass hunk of plastic.

I don't have kids either, but at least I can remember what it's like being a kid. Unlike Jay.
That was kind of my point, but you said it better.

So the leg proportions (knees) are totally different now? And the paint damage doesn't look nearly as good at the Pulse Event. I'm glad I couldn't get my pre-order in, feels like a bait and switch to me. I might pass on this now. Hasbro is showing digital renders for Marvel Legends pre-orders and now this is clearly different than what was revealed Not a fan

No, that's just a couple of missing parts in the sample used for the product pictures.

Thanks, I've seen this mentioned and I guess I will have to look more closely at the picture when I have time. If it's just a color change then I'll likely live. I hope. Battle damage looked way cooler in the Designer's hands but it's still there at least.

Yeah, you're right about the colours and battle damage, although it might've looked better because sometimes they use early hand-painted samples for livestreams and photoshoots.
Still, hard choice whether to get it or not, although if I do I'll probably get some upgrade kit to fil in the hollow sides at least. Also would've prefered the clear yellow to have been clear blue, but that's somewhat more of a nitpick.

It's a bit disappointing that the turrets cannot swivel and the fingers aren't individually articulated. The rest of the articulations should be good with deep elbow and knee bends but unfortunately that wasn't shown.
Teletraan 1 integration is nice, although a smaller opening panel would have probably made for a better display when the Ark is open to show the bridge. A couple of other minifigures would have been nice too to populate the bridge.
Compared to Scorponok it seems to be smaller than I though, between Omega Supreme and Devastator in height.
