Yyyyeeeeah, so, I try to see the positive with most bots even if I don't care for them, buuuut, this is basically MP11 with less accuracy. I kinda already have this bot. Maybe if this had come out 10+ years ago, like before WalMart Skywarp earlier.

Yyyyeeeeah it's studio Ox inspired so it was never aiming for cartoon accuracy.

These guys should be head to head with almost every version of MP Megatron.

Not necessarily toon accuracy, character accuracy mostly. The elongated torso, the height, and the face (to be fair, faces are notoriously hard to nail, and this is a prototype). I compare it to MP11 because they're both stylized and have similar body proportions. That's not neccessary a bad thing, as I still like MP11 for what it is, it's just dated. Kinda feels like some of that datedness transferred over to this fig.

Toyworld/Zeta have always done their own scale and given no fucks about whatever the "actual" MP scale is.

^This right here. Id replace all six of them but...

Also not a fan of how the nosecone sits on the airplane mode and I would prefer a bit of a better sculpt on the face and feet but I could live with those....

It has a waste swivel. That makes its articulation superior to Takara 3.0.

Not saying these will be superior overall, but they're certainly more advanced than mp11 in terms of articulation. They also have double jointed elbows IIRC. They'll probably be superior to mp52 in terms of articulation.

For the price of the seeker trio set that's not too shabby. Transformation doesn't look overly convoluted, plenty of locking tabs in both modes, and hey look sculpted detail! If the build quality is good on these I might have to cave. I'm still tempted to see what the MP 3.0 brings to the table.

I am considering selling my Robot Hero Seekers for these, but the RH ones are kinda rare, so........not sure what to do?

I really enjoy the RH ones because they look like how Seeker jets should look in real life, but scale wise they're a good bit taller than Megatron, so.........

Even if they're a little bigger, so what. They are still great figures. I like that the transformations are not the same as any seekers before them.

I honestly feel that with his tall size, this mold is ideal for coronation Starscream, especially since the wings look so oversized.

Do you guys think Red Spider will come with his crown?

Red Spider got bumped off my radar by the Deformation Space MP Starscream, but these are still really nice... I have the ToyWorld Coneheads and they're awesome! Happy for those of y'all who patiently waited years for this set.

I was thinking of buying the Zeta Starscream to put alongside my Crimson Wings, then I saw the size difference with the coneheads in another thread and...

Well, even compared to him they are enormous! There's no way to match the zeta seekers or coneheads with anything (or maybe haslab Unicron? Given that they all are way too huge and out of scale...)

If MP-52 and Crimson Wings never existed, this Starscream would have been (in my opinion) way better than Meteor. But years of delay have rendered it useless and dated... At least it isn't expensive at all, what a redeeming factor..

They're "too big" but they DO work in an MP display, though... especially if you have, say, Cloud 9 Quakeblast, which is also too big, and the MMC cassetticons (likewise). You're basically going for "Decepticons are big and intimidating" in your display aesthetic. Maybe you're using Maketoys Despotron for the chunkiness. And that WORKS! For a while I had the Toyworld coneheads displayed with Quakeblast, the idea being that they were his 'augmented seekers', he'd been experimenting on the design and made his personal trio of bigger, stronger, tougher seekers with special abilities (Ramjet's physical durability, Dirge's fear creating harmonic ability, and Thrust... well, he just got the short end of the stick in that regard, but he can do flying tricks the other guys can't due to his wing design)

It really comes down to your headcanon. I think we DO focus too much on what things are "supposed to be". Is the toy awesome? Do you like it better than any of the other versions of the character, or as much as others, or basically enough to want to get it? Then get it! I don't see how a Starscream that's actually as big, or almost as big, as Megatron is a problem --- the dude thinks he should be leader, if he's that big and tough it makes sense WHY. (That's one of the things I like about Crimson Wings... and you know what? Now that he's in the display, I don't have a problem with my Starscream being bigger and tougher-looking than the other Seekers, even though it's not "supposed to be that way")

Buy Wei Jiang Megamaster, and the MMC cassettes. Your Decepticons are now giant, hulking death machines that dwarf the Autobots, who MUST use their (thankfully) superior teamwork to survive and take them down. Basically, the TF:Animated approach. Problem solved.
