Sweet, they referenced Prowl's G1 acid pellet rifle by making his shoulder cannons acid blasters. Very cool.

Odd... what on Earth is that wing on Prowl's roof? It seems to have replaced his police lights.

I was just looking at these. It's interesting to see that Prowl has a different shaped light bar from what we've seen in other pictures. His gun also looks different. It's too bad the bio's aren't readable, as I would like to read them. It's good to see tech specs on the card back, as Animated doesn't have them. I really like the look of the packaging, but I'm going to do the same thing that I do with all the other packaging that the TF's that I get come in, and throw it away. I personally don't see any reason to keep it after releasing the TF from it's prison.

Onslaught's chest mold also seems to have some noticable differences compared to the proto version. The proto has it flush against his chest/torso whereas the color photos have it re-designed at an angle. Still looks good, but I actually prefer the proto version better.

The new moulds all look good but I'm not so sure I want Onslaught right now. I think time will likley deliver a more paletable colour scheme.

Powerglide I don't mind, sure Takara probably will make an all red one but I like this one just fine.

The site also says the premium series should be coming out soon.
Since I skipped out on the movie line the first time around. I might pick a couple.

    edit:
anyone else find it weird that they still have nothing on the animated toys, yet they're doing this for universe?

I like the packaging. It still feels like the Classics packaging, but different enough to be interesting with some of the movie packaging aesthetics. I'm a bit upset by the recent trend in scaling back character artwork, but what we get is nice. Better than Classics complete lack of artwork, that's for sure.

Was anyone else able to make out the bios? I managed to read "As the right hand man to Optimus Prime" (whoo! Prowl's second-in-command!) before my eyes started to hurt.

VERY cool. I love the artwork. I just hope it survives on the UK releases.

Nice. I really like the packaging as well. The box art is on both sides, too.

    Cant wait for these guys.

Nice! And that packaging is very sweet looking, love the artwork going up the left hand side! I also hope the Canadian/tri-lingual packaging doesn't muck it up too much.

The only bad thing about all these in-package pics of Universe (and Animated for that matter, but June) is that we are seeing them now in Feb. and they don't come out until Oct.!
