Geez. How are these people getting them so early??? I am getting recommendations (on YouTube) for video reviews of yet to be released figures from several YouTube channels other than Kreemzek, PrimevsPrime, and TonTon. It is becoming a norm. I am tempted!

If you want to be really technical about it, Rattrap is supposed to come up to roughly Cheetor or Blackarachnia's armpits, and instead is only as tall as Blackarachnia's waistline. It doesn't bother me, but yeah, there were several real hardcore BW fans who were not happy.

As I recall Junkion wheels partsformed in the movie/cartoon. Well, partsforming has never bothered me anyways.

So is he the first TF ever with nipple articulation? :D  Or that honor goes to Armada Tidal Wave, I guess? (or his turrets are more on the abs?)
Btw, he transforms remarkably a lot like the G1 toy, the main difference being the giant windshield now not being the robot head. Of course this leads to a clunky alt mode, but that kind of is the point with a robot composed of junk.
They either live in asian countries and have contacts, or know people in said countries who have contacts.
And by "contacts" I mean, factory workers who will steal the figures from the factory. Have no doubt about that. Why else you think none of these guys ever show off the packaging?

We used to have actual Ebay sellers who used to sell not yet released toys weeks, months before release, always loose, and often in large quantities and cheaply. One such seller was some lady called "Lena" and a lot of reveals came from her (this was back in the "Thrilling 30" Generations era).
There was also a guy "He Who Shell Not Be Named" (okay I will name him, he was Mike Horvath) who ran a whole webshop selling not just knockoffs but unreleased toys of dubious quality. Much of the Animated toys who never got a western release, like Blackout, came from him.
Hasbro eventually took action and shut these people down, but this has been going for years by then, so clearly whatever legal department they have either works slow, or they were just not paying attention.
Considering how now even the Hasbro streamers are remarking the leaks, I think Hasbro will actually do something about them at this point.

Yeah, Wreck Gar was the same height as Springer, as we could see when they fought in the movie.

Does not really work like that. Magnus was clearly a cybertronian mode. Once we got Earthrise and realized Hasbro is gonna remake everyone in Earth mode, often by retooling the toys, I think everyone with half a brain knew we are getting Earth mode Ultra Magnus soon enough.
Springer is different though - same as Shockwave, he has NO Earth mode.
I am not saying they won't possible re-release the Siege toy, maybe this time without battle damage, but we are certainly not getting a new Springer figure. What would they turn him into? Springer's alt modes were always alien/futuristic looking.

You DO know the G1 toy and animation model literally transforms like that, grabbing his wheels with his hands like Cy-Kill? This is one occasion where partsforming to me is totally acceptable for show accuracy.

See above, you did not have to wait long!

Hate to burst your bubble but Kingdom Magnus IS the SS86 Magnus. As you probably noticed with 86 movie characters being in both lines, Kingdom was supposed to be pure G1 before the BW anniversary thing came in and then they basically pushed half the toys into another toyline in Studio Series.

All nipple gun jokes aside those are going to drive my OCD crazy because they need to be straight and symmetrical for my OCD brain to accept them. I'm getting triggered every time I see a picture with one of them out of alignment!

    I'm just joking....... I think...... o_O

You're not alone. :lol  They must be perfectly aligned and I'm sure I'll be spending an inordinate amount of time ensuring they are once I have him.

It's fine if they don't point the same way because each nipple has its own purpose

Partsforming has been around since G1. Mega Pretenders anyone?

In any case, I guess I'm in the category of less vocal board members who appreciate newer, modern renditions of classic characters.

Scale doesn't always mean much. He's too stick-figure skinny. That's not "scale."

Sides, he's not. Somebody posted the actual scale guides and hot rod isn't supposed to be taller, or if he is, it's by the tiniest amount --- not a clear disparity.

Wreck-Gar has bent knees on that chart though.

Really great work from the '86 line. It's v. close in aesthetics and apparent quality to equalling the KFC version, and that I didn't expect.
