I’m very anxious to see what gets remolded for the inevitable Diaclone release. Devy will need an entirely new head. Individual decal details would be great. That’s what I’m most excited about from future decos.

It’s also like 90% of the time I like NA more. So I would rather keep it all the same line.

I think there is no wrong way to collect. This is how I collect. Others can feel free to do whatever they like. I’m not telling people they are wrong for mixing, I’m just saying it’s not my thing.

this is where I’m at too, I’d prefer 1 consistent line. I’m sticking with buying every magic square release, but i also buy NA, IF, MST, etc as placeholders, until magic square gets around to them.

Bonecrusher has been the most bland, monochrome TF of all, for a very long time. That's just who he is---"the guy in a solid green onesie".

He's green. And that's it. Maybe a few tiny paint apps for like the exhaust, but "spots of color" not so much.

Have they shown the combiner bits for either company and if they do anything else? If it's a pantsformer and the pants do nothing else, forget it I pass.

NA gave us SG Megatron a at this point may happen the same for Devastator,I may consider SG constructicons to use as Ratchet just as in the comic.

They are competitors it feels like MS just does there own thing and NA tries to 1 up them. Most of the rivalry is between fans.

I think Magic squares devastator looks better but I'll bet the newage individual bots will look better for me in the end.

i personally feel that NA is closer to show accurate, both in combined modes and individual modes for this figure, and for just about every other figure they make too.

MST figures have a heroic style, that makes them look cooler, but less show accurate. I actually prefer the MST style, because mimicking the show too much makes for either chibi/squat or skinny figures.

The only Constructicon we've seen in robot mode from both companies is Scrapper, and MS is more cartoon accurate. He's got the wheels that become plain green discs on the shoulders, while NA just has the black wheels there.

For combined mode, NA looks like the show, while MS looks like the movie.

That’s a totally fair and valid point, although my view is completely the opposite!

Transformers are as diverse as us humans - some are short, some tall, some skinny, some bulky, some chibi, some dumpy. In other toylines (e.g MOTU or 80s GI Joe), most of the characters had the same basic body type, and so the figures looked a little homogenous. One of the great things about those 80s Transformers was that you could have skinny beanpoles like Whirl or Wheelie, but also bulkier toys like Hoist or Snarl.

The ‘heroic’ proportions work for a lot of people, and I get that - but personally, I like how the Sunbow character models (especially those in season 2) tried to mix things up a little, in terms of body shape.

The message I took from it was this: you don’t have to have a well-proportioned body to be truly heroic - it’s what’s in your heart that counts.
