Yeah I ordered it basically because I really like the color scheme. SG doesn’t matter to me at all one way or another.

I wish they gave him at least a translucent fusion cannon and a remolded head. But a remolded chest and stomach area would also be nice. Or just a completely different base figure. Really disappointed with this, but maybe someone makes an upgrade kit that might make this figure worthwhile.

Wow, that would also be better. I would probably have bought that. If they gave him the Galvatron fusion cannon in blue it would be perfect.

So many better options they did not choose. Crazy.

A friend Photoshopped it on the actual figure, and I fixed his color up a bit. It looks much better.

New head shots look good. I didn't have intentions of buying any of them Shattered Glass stuff, but I do find this Megatron tempting, regardless of the head. He looks great in that colour scheme. And I think the space craft alt-mode works better than the 'not quite an earth tank' of the main release.

One thing, I think the Decepticon insignia looks evil regardless of the colour. The Autobot symbol with its somber expression can work for good or evil, I think, so the recolouring can work, but the Decepticon symbol with all those points, slightly reminiscent of a squinting bat... just looks evil all the time. I'm thinking it might be meant to symbolise secrecy rather than evil in this context but there it is.

 

Did they up Megatron's price again? Showing as new on Pulse with a price of $38.99. Thought the corrected price was $36.99.

Huh, he looks more complete with the legs compressed. I kinda thought the extended legs were to accommodate the new shield/cockpit, but maybe your way might work?

Guess we won't know until we actually have SG Megatron in hand.

Oh Man, I really want that head, I didnt like the idea of having to buy the Combat Hero Megatron just to repaint the head from that, specially when Id probably do a bad job of painting it, anywhere else selling it?

Ooooh, I'm definitely in for that, if it's attainable and doesn't have some weird gotcha to it. That sculpt looks much better for this character. My only real complaint about this figure (aside from still wanting it to be the Super Megatron mold, haha) was the scowly G1 Megatron face.

EDIT: Although it looks like the "attainable" part of that is unlikely, haha.

 

Oh... That sucks, then. I would love a new head for him.

A bit more than I like to pay for voyagers but not so bad including a comic each, I guess.
