Does anybody have a better solution for firmy's ratchet than just yank it out with a screwdriver? I got it out, but it's so stiff I don't think I'll ever be able to just move it without tools. Is there a way to take him apart and maybe neuter that ratchet? Otherwise I don't see how it's ever going to work as a shoulder joint

 

Has anyone tried my nylon ribbon idea?

 

I will, I posted a video where a similar approach was used to move the combiner peg.

 

I don't think a ribbon will help me. I can't even move the joint without tools once it's out. I'm going to have a predaking with a permanently immobile right shoulder

 

Have you used silicone oil yet?

I'm diggin the Gundam styling of these guys. A good mix between my two favorites bot series. I even like Razorclaw's modeling so far :O Kudos Cang Toys!

 

Shock oil. Put a little bit on the ratchet and then move the joint around to work it in.

 

Well that's awesome. Ferocious' knee joints were installed backwards. No issues in bot mode but can't convert to beast mode and I gather I can't do the arm either. I reached out to the seller so I'll see but something I can see happening considering how complex these rear legs are.
Unfortunately the shin area is all pinned so a self repair of a $150 toy doesn't sound exciting but I would if I had to  

 

They're just gonna have to send you whole new legs. There's a screw on the back of the hip joints that'll hopefully make a leg swap viable. Hopefully that won't be a problem for the seller. I had a mismatched grille on my zeta onslaught and tfsource sent me a whole new arm.

Looking on amazon there's about 50 different kinds. Any recomendations?

 

Super Lube is usually the go-to but I also have Factory Team Silicone Shock Oil 22.5W. Both are very good but Super Lube is cheaper and has more in the bottle.

Super Lube is also on sale for 1/3 it's normal price. Great time to stock up.
