Dammit ! Saw this thread too late. Never heard of this store before, but I’m Canadian, so it would have been perfect for me. I guess that means other stores will get them as well ?

 

Hopefully additional shipments mean that Amazon.ca can finally fulfill their orders. I ordered the day the set went live, and I still get a "kick the can" e-mail about it every month.

 

Scope out your local EB Games around the 1 year anniversary of the Amazon release. They will probably pop up there even if not shown online. June/July I think. I ordered one from toysnowman when this thread popped up before getting sold out but will be looking at EB Games and will get one if I see it just in case and sell off the pre-ordered one at cost to someone.

 

Didn’t even knew EB games carried Transformers. Not sure if my local one has any. Then again, I think it’s been a long time I went there, possibly before covid. And why do you think the coneheads would pop up there of all places ?

 

I'm not sure why EB Games either. They're the carrier of the Walgreens exclusives in Canada. They've never gotten the Amazon exclusives, to the best of my knowledge.

 

The Siege Skywarp, G2 Sideswipe and Fan vote boxsets all showed up at some EBGames about a year after release. You could even preorder them in store if your store keeps a preorder book of upcoming releases like mine does.

 

Did this work at GameStop for anyone in the states? Or is this only at EBGames?

 

Yeah, EB is a direct partner with Hasbro. You can preorder pretty much every gen selects figure through them.

And starting with the tail end of Earthrise you can preorder individual mainline figures.

Previously you could only order a random figure from that size class.

But they've been carrying Transformers regularly since the start of Siege and Studio series.

Too little too late for me tho- sold off my T-Cracker and Skywarp... my Thrust is for sale... likely my Screamer because of the upcoming Studio Series...

 

It's still 80$, though... the original was just 60$.
Still less than what they cost on Ebay now I guess, but I wonder why Hasbro cannot just sell them on Pulse?

For me, they shipped Ironhide/Prowl and then the package was "damaged and to be returned" for a month, with it never returning. They eventually refunded me when I asked. Luckily I did get the coneheads, though
