He looks good but something just seems off to me. I really think the TR one captured the character better.
As a matter of logistics, it makes more sense to have a boring, gray, nondescript robot that turns into a boring, gray nondescript vehicle as an army as opposed to a angry, ravenous eating machine with the IQ of a potato chip. At least the Deeseus drones had the capacity to point their guns at a target and shoot instead of run face first into a giant murder dinosaur tossing a toddler temper tantrum.
Hmmm.... A G1 Bulkhead could be a close runner up but name another legit Chubby Transformer (Bot or Con) that's cooler than "G'naw".... The Legend class Gnaw's are cuter in alt-mode but it's the bot mode for me in this case... I only pre-ordered 2 Gnaws but I'll buy 1 or 2 more if I spot him in stores.
I\'m Buying 4 of these suckers, I have 4 of the titans return one. Plus a japan release of the mold So I have 5 of that acutally. I use the japan colors as the leader of the others. Plus I ordered that pit of judgement.I have 2 quintessons Judges.With the pit of judgement I will have 3 judges.I think that is enough.
...and I instantly regret buying so many TR Gnaws. I have to get at least 1 of these, he's so nice. He can be the leader of his 12 little brothers.

Originally I liked the Titans Returns version better, however the more I see, the more I realise how wrong I was. This guy is pretty awesome. While I have no intention of troop building I'll probably end up with a few of them.
Hmm..... I'm not much of a fan of those Fossilizers but do you think one of the molds could make a decent Executioner?
I'll keep my TR Sharkticons, but I much prefer this version. Better scaled. Looks much more accurate. This one looks like he doesn't skip on his robot mode.
In Sharkticon (alt) mode? Yes! Those little deadly Legends class suckers look adorable to this day. So they'll remain part of my Quintesson army. In Bot mode? No! I only had plans of buying 2 of these SS86 versions and keeping them in bot mode since they bring out the nostalgia in such a cool way. But as I mentioned earlier, I might search for 1 or 2 more in the field to keep in alt-mode to fit in with my school of little ones. I just wish the blue horns on the sides of his mouth weren't thicker than the alt-mode arms that I wish had wrist or forearm swivel. Other than that I still give him a 7/10 for now.
I'd like SS86 Gnaw if he didn't have those damned forearm gaps. Just looks unfinished, like the designer just...gave up. I actually like SS86' Gnaw's alt mode better than the bot mode though.
Am I the only one here who thinks this new Gnaw is awesome and the TR Gnaw sucks ? Ive been reading the comments and Im shocked at all the petty complaints. Its a Sunbow accurate Sharkticon for retail price. What more yall want ? People would have killed for this back when Toyworld and Igear Sharticons were going for like $120 a set.
as much as i love gnaw id prefer a two pack of sharkticon and alicon to give us a real army builder pack. the main thing transformers falls short on is the single packing of army builders
