I think I understood that... I think.  This whole thing devolved from ridiculous fun to outright madness. I appreciated the attempts to explain things from G1, but there were a lot of references to things I'm less familiar with. I'm sure that showcase of the Earth's fate would be neat if I'd seen BWII and Neo.

I hope Takara makes a comic that explains Car Robots Time Placement in teh Beast Era.

Things I learned from this insanity:
    • Don't try to tie everything into a single continuity, like how Japanese G1 did. Its insanity and result in fanfiction grade nonsense like this which is somehow both amazing and hurting my brain. Pretty sure everything smells like copper right now. Must be my brain leaking out my nose.
    • That I had a Primus figure all along! A few years back I bought that 'Vector Oracle' redeco of Nightstick, hoping to one day repaint it black and silver to give my CW Cyclonus his targetmaster. However, I think I'll keep it in its green color now.
    • I didn't know JG1 continuity had tried to make links between Primacrons's weird history creating Unicron, the Quintesson origin of the cartoon and the later increasingly mystical aspects which would later end up tied into the Primus mythos. This was one aspect of the G1 cartoon I'd always written off as "Well, the multiverse is weird and the Primus origin was a retcon that came later and thus rolled with it. However, of all the insanities of this comic, this is perhaps the sanest and most logical part.

So I guess that's it for the Generations Selects comics? NGL, I wish that Armada Optimus was still in the realm of happening so we’d get another series focused on the Unicron Trilogy. Or maybe one with Selects Artfire?

    End of an era, regardless.

Hold on... so Green Megatron, whom is future megatron, is basically GO! Ratchet... Did they just make a Marvel Comics call back?

its seems weird that with all the timeline/reality hijinks of these comics, the king of timeline/reality hijinks, sideways, wasn't uses or shown at all.

I'm really hoping Takara revisit their concept of unique retools some day (hopefully soon) in the future. There is so much they could do with WFC molds and beyond! For now, I guess Super Megatron and a pair of finished Unite Warrior combiners is a good place to end.

It's really bizarre seeing Sakamoto continue to write like a 10 year old playing with toys. Like this is straight up the kind of stories that a 10 year old playing with a bunch of toys are like. I'd be into it if that was the point, but I honestly can't tell what the point of these stories are supposed to be aside from giving off that sensation of a kid's toybox.

For all the flak that MP-05 takes nowadays, it's nice to see it get a little love here in Golden Megatron. IMO it turned out as well as it possibly could have considering Hisashi Yuki had twelve days in which to design it and no other equivalent scale gun TF's to refer to for engineering tricks and such. Those are not conditions that lend themselves well to success.

Both gold versions of MP05 and MP10 look amazing here. MP05 in particular; what I wouldn’t give for Takara to revisit that design and update it for a new Generations Megs.

I hope TT dials this back down to normal levels. It's so OTT as to make Simon Furman at his most Botcon/OTFCC levels of crazy pale in comparison.
