Brian Goldner only cares because sucking up to china means more money for him. Bayformers cant hold water to ANY animated series and the Bumblebee movie was 10x\'s the film those POS garbage dumpster fires were.

It may not be much, but it's still good to know they have some level of confidence in whatever they may be doing and planning.

I still wonder what they're doing about PR tho, hope they do an anime-style series in the vein of something like Voltron Legendary Defender.

It's nice to see acknowledgment of the 2007 movie's impact. I'm sure it introduced many like myself to the franchise of Transformers, and because of that it really does hold a special place in my heart.

Though I don't know about the claim that the value of it remained sustainable since, considering the massive failure that was TLK. But I'm excited to see what the future holds in store for TF movies.

    Cool story, bro. Anyway…

The confidence that they have for the future in the brand makes me feel excited. It’s even cool that they acknowledge the impact the ‘07 movie had on the brand 14 years ago, but I’m not sure about the sustainability part since The Last Knight was a major box office bomb. I’m also interested to see what kind of Transformers game they’re making. I hope they’re genuine console/PC games and not more mobile games.

This is how you want to start participating in this thread? Really? Get ready for a warning, or the banhammer. If you're starting out like this, you'll just go down the worst path from here on out.

Such a shame they can't even report the news for 10 seconds before someone gets out the pitchforks.

    Anywho...back on topic.

Don't get me wrong, I much prefer Travis Knight (and anyone else, really) over Bay, but Goldner confirmed it again so that the people in the back can see it... Movie years are their best years, and that all started with Michael Bay's involvement. As a Geewunner, I'm a bit saddened to hear that, but on the other hand, I understand it. All of the money made from Bay's work will help lay the groundwork for future movies to go in new directions and not be soft reboots like Bumblebee was.

I certainly hope they're not thinking of bringing Bay back, though. Ever. We've done enough of those, it's time to see what other directors can do.

There was a chart Hasbro showed back in the day that showed that Transformers revenue was, like, 3 times higher than any pre-2007 movie years even on a year without a new movie or cartoon like 2010, so it is good to see that the 'increase' stuck around beyond that era.

I haven't been following the news lately. There's a Bumblebee sequel, an animated movie, and a Bayverse sequel? Or is the bumblebee sequel and "Transformers 7" one and the same? Is the animated movie in the Bumblebee continuity? I'm guessing they clarified a bit on the presentation/call.

There's no Bayverse sequel. TF7 is the Bumblebee universe sequel. The animated movie is not part of the Bayverse but not confirmed whether it's part of the Bumblebee timeline or its own thing.

. I think it's a bit out of touch to call TF7. Bayfans will be ultimately disappointed, and Bay haters will be hating (myself included)

It’s not really called TF7 though. That’s just the internal name since it’s the seventh theatrical movie (excluding 1986).

Just like how Bee Movie toys are still listed as "TF6" in product listings.

There is a difference between what visibility does and what quality does, of course. Any live action movie with marketing was going to bring the visibility and sales, but in the long term they weren't able to carry it because of the quality. Now they have a problem of how to get out of this mess, and I'm not sure throwing shit at the fan and seeing what sticks is going to be the way.

As you can see, we had a slight dip in revenue for the fourth quater of fiscal year 2020 due to delaying SS 86 Grimlock for fiscal year 2021.
