I’m thinking more of they used the robo-smasher on the ark and now they have a new decepticon titan. Unsure if it means the autobots are dead but considering it still gets damaged enough to crash there’s probably some resistance left in this alt reality.

No. These are meant to be alternate futures from where things leave off at the end of Earthrise.

So it presupposes the normal Heroic Autobots and Evil Decepticons that we've followed in Seige and Earthrise. There's just some future where the Decepticons take control of the Ark and eventually this Dark Ark crashes somewhere.

-ZacWilliam, I wish they'd have included a write up on the back of each card explaining each possible future. MORE story integrated in the toyline Hasbro, not less.

Hmmm... So in this alternate continuity the Autobots win the Great War, and the 'cons are forced to hijack the Ark, get boarded by the 'bots, and... basically a turnaround of things?

 

Most likely it could happen given the current references. Earthrise opened up a connection between the Golden Disks and Unicron and Dinobot will probably get a big role in Kingdom. This might go in the direction of a Transformers equivalent to Lord Drakkon.

 

This confirms what I expected given lazy, cheap-ass studio Rooster Teeth and what we have seen in their show so far - Dinobot will be the only BW character to show up in the next season/chapter, and he will get the matrix. Dinomus Prime, LOOOOL. This will be a glorious trainwreck.

 

When it comes to the series its so departed from the toyline its hard to believe its meant to be based on each other like half the characters in toy form are nowhere to be seen and desanto himself said when questioned about the Ark transforming he as whos to say hes even in it.....so I dont hold out much hope of any of these little details making the series

 

I for one am not buying into some of the negativity here. I'm very interested in the idea of Dinomus being used in WFC Kingdom and possibly the toy line. Many of us ask for something new or different and then scrap on it when they give it to us because it didn't perfectly align to our individual visions for the fandom. I hope something more comes from this than just the card, but if not, we'll always have the idea and the cool artwork and that's enough for me.

 

These days, with the need to put all languages on the card, there wouldn't be enough room for the picture.
Cyberton script is th only common language they can use now.
There are days I miss the old bio cards.

If Mattel can release MotU Origins figures with non-tri-lingual comics inside Hasbro could certainly do the same on inserted trading cards. You'd just have to be willing to pay for different cards to be inserted for different markets.

An even easier option of would be to have the whole back of the trading card write up be in Cybertronian too. These are aimed at an audience old enough to appreciate a puzzle like that.

-ZacWilliam, I get the Tri-lingual packages save them money by letting them use the same packaging over multiple countries/regions, but there are 100% ways around it to get more of the Characterization and Story that made Transformers great in the first place back in the line. Hasbro just has to value it enough to do so.

 

Pretty sure this is just a wacky "What if" possible timeline thing and no indicator of a new toy/character.

 

Can I quote you when this does not happen? Not trying to defend Rooster Teeth or argue that the Netflix show is great but sometimes the fandom really over exaggerates things.

 

I think after Earthrise turned out the way it did, we all saw the...limits of the writers' creativeness.

 

Now I'm the first to love to shit on those hacks at Rooster Teeth but realistically we have no indication on where the RT show is going or if 'Dinomus' is in it.

 

I really don't think Dinomus is going to be in it and I definitely don't think there's a toy on the drawing board. It's just a neat What If scenario. But due to the way Transformers works as a brand, I wouldn't be surprised if a few years from now a Dinobot toy gets retooled into Dinomus for some future version of Generations Selects.

 

Its not so much negativity its more based on previous with Hasbro they show stuff like this then never actually do anything with it, its like look at this lovely artwork and potential figure......but thats all you are getting sorry.

 

I hope this is just a toy. I'd hate to see a cool concept like a Dinobot turned Prime or Dinobot turned Unicron's soldier turned into a one-note chump begging Beast Megs to forgive him for . . . some unexplained but often referenced sin. Let us make our own story for him. It'd likely be better than WFC is capable of giving us.
