Wonder if Dinomus could be a SDCC exclusive?

 

People seem to be dismissing Dinomus because other Destiny Cards aren't likely to produce toys.

But the cards they reference are cheap pallet swaps of existing art assets compared to someone being handed a "Dinomus" design to turn in to a card.

Like, they had to go to all the trouble to trademark that shit. He could have remained "Dinobot" and just become a Herald of Unicron. But they invented a brand new name.

It's similar to when Warden (I think it was him) talked about all the concepts they had to toss when Primal won the PotP poll, and he revealed one of the potential winners Prime name.

Who knows, it's only *one* possible outcome. Similar to an old school fighting game where it's impossible for all of the individual character endings to be canon.

 

Is that where the Arcana Magnus name for Arcee came from? Cause I've heard that tossed around a few times but wasn't sure about the source.

 

why are people citing the dark ark like the regular ark wasn't barely revealed a month ago?

 

But they didn't? I see no trademark claim next to his name.

Anyway, if you're expecting a toy I'm pretty certain you're going to be disappointed. It's just a fate gag like all the others.

I’ll take this. Always loved the Hotrod to Rodimus change. It’d be cool as hell if he owns the end of the trilogy, I can totally see that happening now with this reveal. It’ll probably be a Netflix pack but I’m DOWN! Luckily I work at a retailer to where I can check stuff on a daily basis lol. My main finds come on Monday, after having the Sunday off. That seems to be when they put out new stuff. Still waiting on the Prime/Rattrap wave to hit but there are still Elita’s and Wheeljack filling the shelf but I usually have a great chance of finding stuff. I haven’t had to preorder any of the mainline stuff in a while.

It's just the Ark in purple with Decepticon logos.

Also Dinobot as a Unicron Herald is awesome. Wasnt there a Unicron set rumoured or am I imagining it?? Cause he might be one in the set plus reformat Galvatron

 

I keep reading it as Dominus not Dinomus. I was like "oh sweet I get it Dominant preditor, Predacon, nus like cyclonus. So dominant pedacon leader-ish I can see their logic and it kina sounds like Dino at the start". but it's not. Dinomus just sounds a bit awkward to me like something that came from a unicron/matrix name generator.

Good point! Perhaps that’ll be a thing in the Netflix show. Would also be a good candidate for a SDCC set.

 

Is that transmetal reference  or besat war 2 (the japanese one) that remold parts reference?
I would love to see that new mold as generation selected.

 

Oh... While I get the 'falling to Earth' thing I have no idea what that decepticon logo on the Ark means. Is it a 'Decepticons win, kill all Autobots, vandalized Ark then send it crashing to Earth' sort of dark alternate history?

 

If Hasbro released a Dinomus toy and while not the Transmetal versions, I would also be on board for Rhinox, Airazor, Cheetor, and Terrorsaur repaints as Unicron's Four Horsemen.
