@robotmel message Maz about the Alternators you have for sale.

Yep there's a few things like the Oxford variant of COVID where everyone closed borders to us causing massive backlogs either way and Brexit has resulted in more paperwork for imports and exports which initially caused large delays and created a further backlog (my deliveries from Europe used to take 3 days, they now take nearly 3 weeks).

Also Pulse opening and shops reopening has hit online retailers so pre-ordered stock is slowing down in sales. Personally I'm happy to see people spending money in bricks and mortar stores, Pulse on the other hand...

Buuuut there's another problem now with that boat that got stuck in the Suez canal and blocked all the ship's behind it - everything on there won't arrive until October. I don't know if that affects Hasbro but I know that in the music industry there's a particular album that has sold out at distribution and won't be available again til Oct. Likewise a British shoe company gets a lot of its product made overseas and they'll run out of stock.

Annnnd India isn't exporting due to COVID which doesn't affect the toy industry but will disrupt other industries massively.

Plus Hasbro are hiking prices significantly as of July so I'm sure that will cool sales.

A lot of retailers are in the position where right now there's a need for bigger warehouses because of delays causing a glut of product but then might face a few months of not getting much in at all. It's a strange old time.

Cracking showing from Blighty in Eurovision as usual :D  I recommend next year's entry be a cover of "My Lovely Horse".

Katie's been here all day and we've been OK so far, Rebecca ferret was VERY pleased to see her, Oreo acknowledged her with a couple of sniffs to check if she had any food, then wandered off back to his sleeping bag in the living room :D

    @Ottertron,
Congrats on Magic Square Optimus, the only problem I have with the design are that the knee joints look a bit shit but they work well enough and despite having a much more complex transformation than most 3p Legends I never feel like I was going to break anything as their plastic choice feels very durable.

I agree that some open hands would have been nice in amongst the other accessories.

Megatron is also fantastic if you're able to get him, he really is a mini Masterpiece and as a nice bonus his non transforming pistol also fits in the hands of a lot of 6 inch figures....I gave mine to Dr Doom.

Well that's most of the CHUG collection back out of storage. I love micromasters as, while I did have a handful of the earlier G1 figures (Optimus, Dirge, Grapple) looking back it seems I certainly had more Micromasters. That's why it's a shame that their rebirth in WFC didn't work out as well as a few of us would have liked. I've mixed in the figures I have got from Seige and ER with my original Micromasters alongside Metroplex and Tripticon. I still need to source a few replacement parts for Countdown's rocket base and a Countdown figure, and bring Skystalkers shuttle down from the attic. I also seem to have misplaced the Ironworks micromaster figure.
    20210523_145430.jpg

The 'cons are also back up, cleaning up the figures has made me want to source the Legends Insecticons. Whilst the FP ones worked reasonably well, they no longer fit with the newer figures. Also, WFC Buzzsaw when Hasbro???
    20210523_145441.jpg
... and yes I now need WFC Cyclonus and SS86 Scourge thanks to you enabling gits.
    20210523_145456.jpg
Oh and then there's this eclectic lot
    20210523_145505.jpg

@Genetic Yep between the B word and the stuck shipment lead times are nuts. It's also made raw plastic prices shoot up, the plastic pallet wrap we sell has gone up by nearly 50% in the last 3 months. This is also unfortunately partially why I expect Hasbro have put their prices up.

Picked up a new rust effect set this afternoon, so Zombie Swindle was the ideal guinea pig... uh, candidate for testing it out.

Need to see how it looks when it dries out and have another method of application to try out, but it's looking pretty good so far.

    20210523_153315.jpg

It works using a powder you apply with something to set it with: in this case, paint. Then you add drops of different colour reagents to bring out the rust tones. Yep, I'm messing about with reagents like Herbert West. What could possibly go wrong?

Ram Man despite some obvious limitations* is a standout figure IMO (I need one of my other stands but you get the idea)

    * The spring-loaded legs are actually worse than the original, only for fans screaming he almost could have been a standard release. Though the accessories really do make this set.

Anyone collect BotShots or the old pewter style SCF figures for cheap?

Found a small bunch and no idea what to do with them.

Checked my TR Fort Max invoice and he did indeed drop early as IIRC he was purportedly due July/Aug 2016 but the email I have is dated 20 June. Though as has been mentioned there are a few other factors that might make Autobot Ark's estimated (crash) landing date an actually correct one for once!

so, I have the YYW-11 upgrade kit for Doubledealer and I wanted to know if anyone else has purchased and installed it, I heard it's a waste of time and more trouble to implement than it's worth. I heard it has stability issues.

I want to increase Doubledealer's height but If it's no good then i won't bother with it.

I have the Legends version and FP version of the insecticons. I like to think of the FP versions as being an energon crazed version which makes them more of a threat when need be.

Anyone know where I can get some of the slightly older Selects? In particular Hubcap, Rotorstorm and Bugbite?

And now there's an ongoing back and forth in a newsthread about Dinobot Slug / the old version of the name. Apparently if the Brits thought it was offensive and that's why it's changed, they don't have a leg to stand on because of other offensive slurs in the language/society/jargon.

The extreme mental gymnastics people will go through for a character's name from an 80ies cartoon that's changed for the last 15 or so years is amazing. It'd not like they changed Grimlock to Gridlock or something is it? :D

Think Rotorstorm and Bugbite are still in stock at Kapow. I also wouldn't terribly mind parting with my Hubcap if you can't find one; he's just sitting in his box for months.

Huh, thanks! They weren't in stock last time I checked. Anyway, how much would you want for that Hubcap if you decide to sell?

Thought Hubcap was in stock at C&C but he's not. Dunno, 22 all in sounds ok?
