Make this the robot mode for the Nemesis and I'm all in. Throw in a Deceptitran deluxe partner and I'm even more in
So 86 Wreck-Gar is not my favorite version of the design. But the figure looks amazing. I'm genuinely surprised how simple his transformation appears to be. Clever and effective without being overengineered or fiddly. Gnaw is made of win. I love Sharkticons. And Slag looks like Slag. I've never been a fan of the red head. But that's a personal thing. Figure, again, looks great. SS86 is pumping out great toys. I just wish we'd seen Bayverse Jolt.
Nah, I don't think Dirge ever has been green. The colors on this Trust is homaging his Armada counterpart.
There were Shattered Glass versions of Optimus Prime and Ratchet which were based on their Earth formats. They’re not part of this exclusive line, of course, which does indeed seem to be all Cybertronian forms (unless Blurr’s alt-mode is actually a future Earth hover car. I’m not clear which of the autobots introduced in the movie are meant to be cybertronian formats, or future Earth. Ultra Magnus and Blaster are probably exceptions, as they’re clearly Earth forms. Hotrod and Kup? I just don’t know for sure. For UK shipping you need to use the UK site. Of these figures I’m mainly interested in Wreck-gar and Slag. Gnaw does look suitably weird in his piranha-I-mean-shark form and he has a lot of character, but I’m not keen to buy. SG Starscream looks great, and I like the energon sword combos, but I’m avoiding SG, at least for now. (That Megatron is calling to me though... Must.... Resist...Gnnn...) Edit - I just ordered Wreck-Gar in the end. Slag was tempting but isn’t quite doing it for me, and I have a good version of Slag already. A shame as I love the transformation, but I Need to be a bit more selective in my spending. Oh and amused to note, the British shop Star Action Figures where I preordered Wreck-Gar have Slug listed as ‘Slag’. I’m sure it’s a mistake (they make a lot of listing errors. WFC line figures have been described in different parts of the trilogy than they should be, for example. Kingdom figures with Siege blurb, etc) I just find it amusing since it’s us guys who most commonly associate that word with the rude meaning. The box is the same as US of course.
I adore how Gnaw came out, but can't unsee the ankle warmers and pink dance tights. The 80's were weird.
Very cool. There's a bigger/better quality version of the video on Target's listing page: Transformers Studio Series 86-09 Voyager The Transformers: The Movie Wreck-Gar
Whether anyone likes it or not, the parents can choose to disallow certain shows or toys in their house. They do not even have to allow a TV. None of our opinions matter in that regard.
